KSG Matryoshka Santa Doll to Paint 3.5 to 11 cm Assorted Colours

I bought these nesting Santas for Christmas 2011 to paint with my children (4 and 8) as I thought it would be something fun/creative to do together. As you can see from the photo I uploaded (customer images) they don't turn out "exactly" like the photo used to advertise the product but I think we had a good shot at it. Our effort was not perfect but as I wanted the children to be involved (as opposed to just me doing it) then of course you have to expect a few overlaps of paint, etc. but to be honest this will make this Christmas decoration all the more endearing as time goes on.My 4 year old son had a go on the smallest Santa but obviously it is quite fiddly for that age- and my 8 year old daughter who loves to paint/be creative was more than able to paint the dolls.Equal size pots of paint are provided for each colour used: red, yellow, white, green and black. A larger pot of red would have been better as obviously this colour is used the most- it was a bit of a stretch to make it cover all the Santas but we just about made it. There is also a little pot of varnish that is used to seal the final painted Santas which will stop them smudging once completed.All in all a fun thing to do with your children over Christmas, decent quality and ultimately a nice keepsake.

I really liked the idea of this item and the dolls can be made something special with a little work......or let the kids go mad and see what happens!Be aware of the sizes (these can be seen when you zoom into the left hand corner of the box picture) as they were smaller than we expected.Also on arrival some of the paints were very dried up and other paint in the house had to be used.
