I have tested this by simply pairing it and then leaving my house, and I was indeed alerted that I left it behind fairly quickly. I wish I had had it on a business trip where I managed to leave a laptop bag on a train while trying to drag my other luggage out the door before it closed back up. I would happily have missed my stop than lose the bag (which miraculously was recovered--thank you, Dutch Railways).It is very compact and fits in a credit card slot in a wallet, although I have just thrown it in my laptop case. It does not impact the weight of my bag in any detectable way.My only complaint is that it is not rechargeable, even though the information on the product page implies that it is: "Long Battery Life: Enjoy extended usage with the iCard Wallet Tracker's long-lasting battery life, ensuring reliable tracking without frequent recharging."To me, that implies that it *is* rechargeable, but the long battery life ensures you do not have to do it frequently. Unfortunately, that is not the case--it is expected to last up to a year and then die. For the price point (currently under $20), that is not a deal breaker, but would be nice if it could be recharged on an induction charger.

This is an upgrade on the air tag. This fits in a flat wallet so much better than the bubbled coin shape of the original air tag. It smoothly slides into any credit card slot with easy it is equivalent two the thickness of two standard credit cards. It has an on/off switch, links to the "Find my" app with ease. It does still have the original issues of the brand name, the sound is so quiet and barely audible. But, overall I would recommend this product.
