Camelbak Women's Circuit Pack (1.5L Reservoir) - AW22

Training for a half marathon I needed to consider hydration on a run for the first time. I started off with a running belt but as I am small waisted it kept riding up and I was constantly pushing it down. I then tried a handheld water bottle but didn’t get on holding something - especially as the runs are longer. Finally I decided to spend some money and am so glad I did. The backpack is so light you don’t realise you are wearing it. It has plenty of pockets - room for phone and keys - and there is lots of ways to adjust the pack so it fits just right with no bounce. The only negative is the plastic taste you get from the bladder. I tried filling with bicarbonate of soda which helped a bit, but I now tend to fill it with lemon squash which masks the taste. Just wash it out as soon as you are back!

Excellent, works really well, water does not slosh around much and is not heavy. Easy to drink from when running.

I have used this best a few times and love it. Its light and I don't feel it....no chafing. It is not bulky and has a lot of ventilation..... I love the colour

I recently got back into trail running and due to running in the warmer weather, I wanted a way to sip water and stay hydrated. I tried using my boyfriend's camelbak backpack and found it to be great, but too big for me, so opted for this women's one. The difference in fit is substantial, so if you're a smaller female, I definitely recommend you get a women's vest compared to a unisex or male camelbak. The fit is so much better - I'm 5 ft 4, about 140lb and this Circuit vest is quite snug, but fits well. I had to loosen the chest straps to get it on, and then tighten to get it to the correct adjustment to me. The clasps are awkward and is one of my biggest gripes with this pack. My boyfriend's camelbak is secured with proper clip clasps, like a running belt or running backpack. This Circuit one, instead, has tiny fiddly hooks which you have to push through the thread on the other side. It definitely takes more time and effort to do, and sometimes I'm there for ages trying to push the hook through the loop as it's quite a tight thread. The other negative is where the water pipe clips in place - it's very stiff and is in a weird position. On my boyfriend's bag, I could pull the tube and drink while it's clipped in, but on this one, the clip is quite low so when putting the tube to my mouth, it has to bend, and then blocks the flow of water - I actually have to physically unclip the tube from the very stiff clasp to get a drink. It's very awkward to do while running - I have to stop or walk to take a drink. If the pipe clip wasn't so stiff, it wouldn't be a problem, or if it was higher up to allow the pipe length to be brought up to the mouth. The fit of the backpack is perfect, the colour is beautiful, there are so many pockets for keys/snacks/suncream/phone and it doesn't slide around while running. I wanted the women's pack so it was better fitting to my body, but it seems there are a few design difference which make this more awkward to use. It's the perfect fit, but not as easy to use as the male/unisex one I've used previously. Once it's on, it's great, but getting it on is a faff and drinking water on the go is something I have to stop to do, rather than sip while running. It's a great vest and I really do love it, but there are imperfections in the design.

I am absolutely in love with this CamelBak!!! Definitely worth the investment and the splurge! Cheaper than I could find at local running/biking stores. 1.5 L fluid capacity, perfect for trail runs and the hotter weather. Has 4 generous pockets in the front for your keys, phone, gels, chews, lip balm, etc. Has a zipped little pocket to put valuables. Super easy to fill up the bladder as it has a huge opening (and a lid that's attached). Love the adjustable straps at the back and on the sternum! Super easy to use!!!! The colour is also quite pretty and goes with a lot of my work out gear. Would definitely repurchase and have already recommended to a handful of people!
