There is a process of water going up the nose which might make people uncomfortable, but it will eventually flow out the other nostril. Switch nozzle only if you prefer more gentlef flow.

We use it "as needed," clean it, and then store it until the next use. The time of consuming a bottle is not assured, but you might want to consult your doctor.
