I liked knowing the temperature in my hot tub without having to open the lid. This seems a great idea, and with a few instance where I needed to power cycle the floating probe, was working well. Then instead of the display just loosing track of the floating sensors readings, the probe started to give wildly incorrect temperatures (it took a +30 offset). No amount of resetting, or "fresh batteries" would get it back to correct temperature readings. Of course this occurred a day or two after the 30 day return window closed. Perhaps going back to a simple mercury filled tube will have to suffice. So Caveat Emptor. Perhaps the purveyors of this product will contact me with a replacement.

Barely lasted 6 months before it stopped transmitting and the display window became so cloudy that it was illegible. Too late to return...

When first received, worked great, after a couple weeks stopped working. Returned with no issue and received another one, same problem, stopped working. Moisture got into where the display of temperature is and again stopped working...returned with full refund....product didn't work, but customer service was great.

I got this to keep an eye on the temperature in the pond in my back ground. The thermostat is outside in the pond, which is about 60-70 feet from the receiver inside my house. The signal does NOT transmit this far. If I put the receiver outside next to it, I see the readings, but as soon as I start walking away, it looses connection.

Used this in our indoor bath to get accurate fills to 107-108 degrees (F) after less than 3 months of use easily off by 10%. Didn’t last not accurate wasn’t abused or dropped.
