Well, Color Me Happy!!!
These are great! I'm pleasantly surprised. Due to sensory issues, finding the perfect earbuds can be absolutely frustrating. And, by golly gosh, I do believe I struck gold with these! Sometimes my cat keeps me up at night meowing so I knew I needed some that would be a good fit for laying my head on the pillow. These stood out to me because they looked like they could possibly, and finally, not leave me wanting to claw my ears off. I took the chance and purchased them due to the good reviews and after seeing pictures of what they looked like sitting in the ear from other customers. After using these earbuds frequently for the past week, I don't have any complaints, so I will list all the qualities that are pros to me. 1. They're discreet. Your eyes don't immediately jump to them because they hide well in the ear and they are not bright and bold in color. If you prefer something more discreet, these may be a good option for you. 2. They cancel out just enough noise to be comforting. I like that they are not completely noise canceling. I appreciate that I can still hear while simultaneously having dimmed the intensity of loud and overwhelming noises that come with being out in public, at events, grocery store, etc. I went to a play last night and I could still hear what was happening just fine while also feeling comforted. I still had them in during intermission and was able to hear my aunt and carry a conversation just fine without having to take them out to hear her. These earbuds gently lower the intensity of over-stimulating noises and allow me to still enjoy certain activities and/or get through unfavorable situations that greatly overstimulate me. 3. I appreciate the variety of sizing in the buds and that they included a size XS. While the mediums were okay, the XS's are perfect for me. Perfect size for my sensory needs and perfect size for sleeping. They fit just right in my ears, and my ears don't end up badly aching after having slept in them. When I tried sleeping with the mediums it was a no-go, but I switched to the XS and it felt SO much better all around and I was able to sleep. While I could tolerate the mediums for being out and about, once I switched to the XS's, I wondered why I didn't switch them sooner. 4. Great for sleeping for me. I had not found an earbud that I could tolerate for very long until these. So the fact that I'm able to sleep with these things says A LOT. I don't have to keep adjusting my head so that they don't hurt or bother me. 5. I hardly know they are there. Once I go on about my activities, it doesn't take long before I don't notice them much. It doesn't feel like my entire ear is busting with an earbud. I don't have to keep reajusting them to relieve aching. My tragus and rook piercings are not bothered at all when using them which THRILLS me. They're also very lightweight, and sit in my ears so subtly that I just about forget that I have them in. 6. They're nicely compact and easy to transport. The design of the earbuds and case are brilliant. The color(s), shape, size, and smooth texture are very pleasing to me. I chose the iridescent lilac and they are beautiful without being too loud in appearance. I very much appreciate the loop attached to the case, too. I hooked mine onto my bag and they go with me everywhere. 7. Money well-spent. I think these are worth every penny. I appreciate that they are not outrageously priced, that they are great quality, and meet my personal needs well. If you're looking for something closer to complete noise cancellation, these most likely aren't for you; however, if any of the above applies to you then you may be pleasantly surprised like I was when I tried them. I'm highly pleased! 12/10, would recommend!

Perfect for sound sensitive people and activities such as vacuuming
Great for anyone who is overwhelmed by sound. It helps me in situations such as in the car with a loud stereo, while vacuuming, or blocking out ambient electrical/aircon sounds. I can still hear with them and talk to someone but it makes sounds less painful and loud. The occlusion is hard to get used to and some people dislike it - sometimes if I want to use it at work l keep one ear out so I can make sure to hear clearly. I havent answered a handheld phone with them in. They stay in my ears and I like how the clear ones look because they are more discreet (but not completely, others might still notice sometimes). I use them pretty much every day and they arent showing signs of wear. The โloopโ part that you hold feels durable because itโs a firm plastic but the part inside the ear is soft, I am not overwhelmed by the feeling of them in my ear and I dont feel like they slip out.

A must have for my migraines and loud work environment
I wear these (and my quiets) every single day and I absolutely love them. I'm going to eventually buy a backup pair to leave at work because the idea that I may accidentally leave these at home gives me anxiety lol They're incredibly comfortable (try every single ear tip size!) and extremely discreet. And I can add a great deal more db reduction (equivalent to the quiets) with the little mute. Before I got my quiets I've even slept in the engages and I'm a side sleeper. While it wasn't *the* most comfortable night time earplugs experience, it wasn't unbearable. I just made myself not put as much pressure on my ear (I gathered up a blanket and positioned it in such a way that my ear didn't emoosh against the pillow.) The only gripe I have about the actual product is that they don't come in more colors. I do prefer the clear ones for work, but when I wear them out to events (bingo night!) I really want to have them look like jewelry to match my 7 earrings in my ears. I'd absolutely love a rose gold, and painting them isn't an option because I don't want to accidentally block the little chamber lol. I know there are the experience ones, but I don't need more occlusion/db reduction at these events so I haven't gotten them. Speaking of gripes - this isn't the fault of the product but it's just the way that earplugs work...even though these ones aren't totally occlusive, they still make it sound weird when I talk. It took me about a week to get used to it and I still can't sing along with the music at work because I'm way too loud to myself and it sounds weird...but the benefits far outweigh that to me. I've tried products like the flare calmers and while they help with general overstimulation they offer zero db reduction so they don't do it for me in loud environments such as my job. I do still use them in other situations, though. Just not when volume is part of the issue. Ok now that that's out of the way, I'll expand on how these are helping me in hopes that it gives someone else the info they need in order to decide whether they want to spend the money on them. I feel obligated to mention that these are *not* designed to protect your ears from significant noise levels such as gunshots or heavy machinery. I know they're not advertised as such, but I feel that it's responsible to add this in my review. So, I work at a restaurant and I have noise sensitivity and chronic migraines. The noise level at work is unbearable at times (too loud but not dangerously so) between the music, the hood vent, the fryers, all of the customers, the clinking and clanking of metal cookware and all the buzzing of the appliances. It drives me mad and makes my head pain even more intense. The breaking point was one day when the person in charge had the music up a little bit too loud and I nearly lost my mind within the first 10 minutes of my shift. I'd had these on my wishlist for a while but I literally purchased them on my break so I could have them the next day. When I tell you that with these in it melts away all of the annoying buzzing and whirring of the appliances! I can't even hear when the water is running (so I have to be careful that I don't overfill the sink when I walk away for a second while it's filling up lol). The clinking and clanking doesn't feel like it's piercing into my soul. The music isn't too loud. AND I can still hear the customers speaking to me very clearly! It only affects me being able to hear people talking if they're quiet talkers or are mumbling, which to be fair that isn't very easy to hear over the ruckus without the loops. All I have to do is adjust my level of concentration when I'm not looking at someone when they're speaking. So it does take some getting used to but it's not something that can't be learned. It's also reduced my migraine intensity. It used to be that if my head started to hurt while at work it would progressively get more painful for the entire day until I finally got home and things are much quieter. Now, when I start to get head pain it plateaus at a point and doesn't continue to increase. This has greatly improved my quality of life while at work. Also when I am having head pain and extra migraine-induced noise sensitivity at home I can wear these and still be able to hear everything around me. I can even use them and listen to an audiobook at the normal volume and be able to hear everything perfectly, if a bit quieter (which is what I want during a migraine) Now, can I just get some of these for my eyes? LOL (seriously, though fl41 migraine tint for glasses is a life saver!) I carry these babies everywhere and I recommend them to anyone with noise sensitivity. My coworker bought some last week and she loves them! I got them as a birthday present for my best friend and she's incredibly happy with them! I can't recommend them enough. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the case. It's fine. Nothing to call home about. I don't trust it by itself, so I crocheted a little pouch to put it in. I've heard that the version 2 cases are more secure, but I don't trust my comfort and sanity to a piece of plastic alone lol you can alternatively buy some of those small, round headphones zipper pouches to put it in. I don't trust the metal cases with the screw-on lid, either. I carry my daily meds in one and am very familiar with just how easily it works itself open.

They work!
They're good. They do block some noise and speech is pretty clear. I wore them to see a talent show once and putting them in made a huge difference-- the audience noise was gone and I could just hear the performers. They don't really help with my auditory processing in everyday life-- not that one would expect them to, but just to clarify since my last sentence might give that impression. They don't make speech any clearer to me, they just don't block it out to the degree they block out lower/higher noises. I brought them to a concert and didn't feel like they were really protecting my hearing, just kind of making it hard to hear the people I was with. I ended up taking them out- this Loop product isn't meant for concerts anyway, but thought I'd mention it. I don't like being able to hear myself breathe, swallow, talk, etc. but that's not a problem specific to these earplugs. Just something to consider if you haven't tried wearing earplugs regularly before. They also made me constantly worried I was speaking too loudly or quietly, so if you might worry about that, keep it in mind. You don't really notice the clear ones visually. They're comfortable. They come with different ear tips you can change out. Loop used to sell separate XXS ear tips you could buy to put on, but those now come with these, which is nice. (I think they got rid of their largest size and so XXS is now XS). I have small ears and always need the smallest ear tips on headphones, and have no problems with these. They're really expensive, and I can't imagine they cost much to make, which is why I put 4 stars instead of 5. I have bought these twice (lost the first) but switched to over-ear defenders due to personal preference. If you lose things like this, they're way too pricy to keep replacing. In this economy, I'd personally go with cheaper earplugs, even if they don't leave speech as clear. If you have the money though, they're a good product and function as advertised.

honestly? better than expected
This is my first pair, and they are super comfortable and very reliable. I was expecting them to cancel sounds a bit more, but in the week I've been using them I noticed that this might be safer than what I wanted (which automatically makes it better if I'm being honest), especially for walking around the city, restaurants and caffรจs. I have to wear one side in a smaller size because of a tragus piercing and the other in medium, but both feel extremely comfortable and as much as I move or jump, they stay in place and work perfectly. Also, since I bought the clear ones, they are barely noticeable which I appreciate because I love the discretion they offer. I've been really liking them, they help me concentrate a lot and to make sudden or extremely loud noises less annoying (although they still are a bit, but it's manageable). Overall very much worth the try if you're in the lookout for earplugs to reduce noise in your everyday life.

Genuine LIFESAVERS!!
I have misophonia that gets triggered with loud coughing and throat clearing. It's been a MASSIVE problem for me for years, to the point where I had to use both single-use earplugs and noise-cancelling earmuffs on a long car ride to make it even somewhat tolerable. When I saw the specs on the Loops, I was skeptical. If the overall noise cancelling quality of them is less than just the earplugs I used, how will they help? Well, somehow, they DO help!! Confuses the heck out of me, but it works! They've helped a bunch in even just the month I've had them. Not only do they prevent the fight or flight that coughing gives me, but they help with things like loud fast food white noise and conventions. And when I take one out to listen to someone better, the circle design is easy and, honestly, kinda fun to hold. I'd say the only real downside I've had so far is that, since they amplify the noise you yourself make (e.g. breathing, talking), I apparently speak a bit quieter when I'm wearing them. Can be mostly fixed by taking one out for a bit while talking. While that may be a bigger issue to some (mainly the amplified self-noise), I personally find that the tradeoff is INCREDIBLY worth it. Overall, if you have misophonia, I would HIGHLY recommend at least trying these. They might not be for everyone with the self-sound boost, but I feel like it's at least worth a try to help.

It works but I'm not thrilled about it
I'm just not sure. I bought these to wear to conventions. I tested them out in some VERY loud and crowded environments. They do a good job of dimming the sound, but it muffles the lower end of the noise and doesn't do much for the higher stuff. This means I can hyper hear the lady's conversation the table over but can't hear my husband sitting across from me. Also, I hear myself too much with them in, so I talk softer and it's like my husband has the ear plugs in because he can't hear me. The extra small is a little to small but the small is too big for my ears. I'm wearing the extra small so they don't pop out as easily. I am very aware that these exist when I first put them in and have to zone out a bit until I get used to the feeling. I don't know why, but once they're in for a bit and I stop remembering that I'm wearing them, I definitely feel calmer in those busy environments. Feels like the crowds are more manageable. They are so cute. They come in a teeny tiny little carry case that is so cute. Easy to throw into a purse or even attach to a keychain (I don't think keychain would be smart, the clasp on the case is sturdy but not so much I would trust it there). The ear plugs themselves are adorable too. I think they are overpriced. I paid full price for the iridescent ones because I wanted the shiny color, but I don't like the amount of money I paid. I don't want to return these, they seem to be working as intended just not as I had hoped they would.

โญโญโญโญโญ Clear speech without overwhelm
I bought the Loop Engage 2 earplugs because Iโm noise-sensitive but still need to stay engaged in conversations, especially in social settings and while parenting. Iโve been using them regularly in everyday situations โ family gatherings, busy rooms, and during conversations where background noise would normally leave me feeling overstimulated. They do exactly what they claim: they take the edge off without making me feel disconnected or like my ears are blocked. What really works well: Speech stays clear and natural, even when multiple people are talking Background noise is softened, not muted, which makes socializing feel more manageable Comfortable enough to wear for extended periods The multiple ear tip sizes make a big difference for fit (especially for smaller ears) Iโve owned an earlier version of Loop earplugs, and the updated carry case alone is a huge improvement. Itโs sturdier, easier to open, and actually feels secure on a keychain โ no more worrying about it popping open in a bag. Things to know before buying: These arenโt meant to block out all sound โ theyโre best for reducing overstimulation, not silence If youโre expecting heavy-duty noise cancellation, these may feel too subtle Bottom line: If you want to stay present in conversations while reducing sensory overload, these are excellent. I genuinely love mine and would repurchase, especially with the upgraded case and improved fit options.

Works. Makes loud environments more tolerable without completely tuning out
This thing is legit. It actually works. In Indian context - I was around badly tuned loud speakers, dhol etc. and this made all that more tolerable for me without killing the sound completely. Itโs also possible to hear people around but they might have to be close or speak up.

I use them for my ADHD
I like using them when Iโm in a group like a work meeting and a social event that needs my attention. Great for dampening out sound makes it more easy to sit in meetings. I suffer from ADHD ans autism so sounds can be distracting or unbearably annoying and uncomfortable. Great item just takes bit to get used to them
