Good value for the money, seems sturdy, it doesn’t slip and was easy to adjust. So far so good. I’ve had it about a week. I have a rock, stick, and leaf eater when outside and this has prevented him from grazing. He can bark and without the guard in place take treats. The only complaint I had was I had to return the first one because it was too small. I followed the guide on measuring but it was too small. I went up two sizes only because my pup is eight months old. He has a little growth in two sizes up but this one still fits. Went from size 3 to a 5. I have a 25# Brittany with a 7” snout. I would purchase this item again when this one wears out if it does.

I have a Belgian Malinois with a very long narrow snout and this muzzle adjusted to fit her perfectly and very comfortably. It is the first muzzle she did not paw at or roll around trying to remove. I like that she can breathe freely with her mouth open and drink water while wearing this muzzle but cannot bite. We primarily use it for vet visits and it relieves a lot of stress on us and the vet! It is very well made, easy to put on and take off and, as far as we have experienced, impossible for the dog to remove. It is also malleable after a brief dip in hot water for a better fit if needed.

My dog has issues sneaking cat turds. The only way I can prevent him from eating the secret morsels of kitty poop is to basically muzzle him. This was a solution I wish I would have figured out years ago I don't know why I never thought of it. And my vet certainly wouldn't have suggested it, as my dog alone has backed up bills quite literally keeping their doors open. Didn't have to use this long to get a review up. The good. It fits without a strap directly on their forehead. Some muzzles have multiple straps this one is easy with really only one you need to worry about. It also has a lock on it which is awesome. Cool color too. The bad. It may be moldable or something to a degree but it isn't soft or rubbery. It's like straight plastic. The sizing seems okay but it is larger than I expected also. After one walk it is incredibly banged up from my dog dragging it or sniffing on the ground and brush. So durability is questionable even early on. The pad that runs on the inside top of the muzzle is not attached to the muzzle it moves around and floats so I had to epoxy it. And the buckle lock is annoying but necessary for some people I may remove the lock part. The fitment is odd. It's not sized to length for the cage it's sized for the removable gate inside. So if you want it to be properly fitted you should keep the gate. Overall I think it's pretty decent but time is going to tell. I've burned up a lot of dog gear and this may last a bit but we will have to see. Say no to cat turds, get a muzzle.

The Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzle was exactly what I needed to prevent my Black Mouth Cur from accidentally swallowing rocks. He doesn't bite but is extremely active and loves digging and playing with rocks. The size guide was most helpful. I purchased two sizes since his measurements fell between the available options. Both sizes fit well. At first, I was concerned about his adjustment, but he adapted after the first day of wear. The clasp locks tightly, keeping the muzzle secure. He can bark, drink, and try, without success, to mouth rocks while wearing. It is easy to clean by holding it under running water. I am satisfied with the muzzle and would recommend it to anyone with a similar need.

Would baskerville consider making the clasp metal? My dog scratched at the plastic clasp and broke it. He eats his poop. He can't eat the poop, because the muzzle is engineered excellently, which is why I gave it five stars. He can't lick a crumb! If I had not put a second collar on the muzzle a (thicker one), as a secondary restraint, he would have succeeded. But, all he could do; as always is smash it into the front of the muzzle. And he still couldn't touch it. Some dogs are more intelligent than others, and wouldn't you know it, I got a sharp one...always thinking. A thicker strap with a metal clasp is what I need. But thank you for this model, because my dog is so frustrated. It used to be me, and now things are as they should be, HA!

I surrender. I am embarrassed to admit I have ordered and returned four of these Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzles. I first ordered a size 6 and a size 10. My vet had shown me a muzzle I thought was a Baskerville that had a size 6 marked on the side when he was suggesting a muzzle to deal with my Goldendoodle picking up rocks and miscellaneous garbage from the yard and chewing and/or eating it. I ordered the size 6 and the size 10 based on my dog's snout length like the website instructs. The #6 was too small, the #10 was way too large. Neither had been worn so I returned them unopened/unused and ordered a size 8. The one I received was marked as a return, not bad in itself, but it was clearly crushed in on the sides and unusable. So back it went for an exchange. The replacement size 8 arrived, also a returned item, but it was not damaged. I had high hopes but it was too short in the snout with the guard in place and my dog would have removed it in under 5 seconds if I had tried it on him. So back it went. I have given up on this brand and am anxiously awaiting delivery of a different brand that may work?

Worked great at first. Then the clip started sticking. This last time i was about to cut it off because my girl started getting really upset. Luckily we were able to loosen it a little and it slid off her. I am now scared to put it on her. She is a rescue who was severally mistreated. So we have been doing a lot of behavioral work with her. She has improved a great deal but still has moments of fear that cause her to react. This muzzle was perfect. Tried to click on support to see if i could get a new strap or something; however, every time i do nothing happens. I will keep trying. Hopefully I can figure something out.

Acheté pour ma chienne Podenca. Je craignais qu'elle soit beaucoup trop large pour sa truffe très longue et très fine. Mais en fait, c est effectivement très large, mais la chienne apprécie beaucoup. C est le modèle qui lui convient le mieux de toutes les muselière qu'elle a eu. Les deux branches en plastique qui passent sur les joues sont super efficaces . La museliere est bien stable. C est la première qu'elle n'arrive pas a s'enlever. Le fait de ne pas avoir de lanière qui passe entre les deux yeux ne pause finalement pas de problème. La couleur discrète et accordée au poil est moins anxiogène pour les passants.

Was a bit wary having read other reviews but this fitted my cocker spaniel really well, was easily adjustable and easy for me to quickly clip on her. I showed it to her and even put in her bed for a couple of days before I got her to wear it and after a couple of times where she shook her head she soon realised it was ok. I’d recommend this.
