Lightweight attractive floating shelf
Easy to clean and wipe. This wooden shelf can hold a small weight of 1 ornament and or lightweight books, magazines etc. Looks nice on a wall and the floating style shelf with the colour of light beige wood is attractive in design. Easy to install and will purchase more to match and put more items on.

Real, solid oak
True to the listing, this shelf really is solid oak, sanded smooth and lightly oiled to give a natural looking finish. The shelf is beautifully finished and looks great. The installation is straightforward, because the bracket for the shelf is secured to the wall before the shelf is attached. You will need a spirit level, drill, masonry bits and a screwdriver to install it.Once the bracket is mounted to the wall, the shelf just slides onto the two prongs.I’ve marked the shelf down one star as there is no way to secure the shelf to these prongs to secure it to the wall. The bracket fits securely, but the wood can just slide off the prongs. This means that if your wall isn’t perfectly upright, or if the shelf is in an area where it is likely to jet knocked, or if it used to store items which are regularly removed, the shelf ends up slowly working forward on the prongs and needs to be pushed back against the wall.I’ve used some double sided adhesive foam to stick the back of the shelf to the flat section of the bracket, but it’s not ideal.Aside from that, a very smart little shelf.

Solid Oak, Smooth Finish, Pleasing Grain, Wonky Holes & Fittings Make Installation Awkward
Contrary to some existing review comments, there's nothing inherently wrong or weak about floating shelves. I've had much larger but essentially identical solid oak shelves fitted with the same "internal bracket" setup for several years now without issue. The oak part of this product is rather lovely; my example has a pleasing grain and consists of two staves with a roughly 60/40 split. Some product photos show less desirable grain patterns and stave widths, so perhaps I just got lucky with mine. The oak is smoothly sanded and finished with what appears to be a Danish Oil. The edges are very subtly bevelled. This is a sleek and modern finish rather than a 'rustic' look. It happens to be the exact same finish I have used on my pre-existing furnishings.Mine measures 19.5mm by 149.5mm by 401mm; so absolutely close enough to the claimed dimensions.Unfortunately that's where we get to the problem with my particular set.The brackets, which appear to be steel plate welded to screw threads, are both wonky. They are visibly not square to the plates, which means when fitted to the wall, the threads onto which the shelf must slide will not be parallel to the wall or to each other.I've taken some photos using the corner of the shelf as a reference to show just how wonky they are.If I place the fittings flat on a desk (with the threads/pins are upright), such that the base of the pins are exactly 100mm apart, at the top they'll be 103mm apart. Couple this with the tight tolerances of the holes in the wood (barely larger than the threads), and it will be impossible to fit the shelf without compensating for the wonkiness with washers between the wall and brackets.Fortunately since BOTH brackets are wonky, as long as I make sure they are both oriented so they deflect in the same direction, it should be possible to fit the shelf without resorting to spacers; it will just slide on slightly 'sideways'.Actually, while writing this I've just realised that the holes in the wood are ALSO wonky; presumably to compensate for the fact that the brackets are. If I pull a bracket out slightly and rotate the plate 180 degrees and push it back in, you'll see that it is now WAY out of alignment (see last photo); which means they drilled the holes non-square as well. Unbelievable. It is absolutely staggering to me that the factory making these things doesn't use a square jig to weld these brackets together or a drill the holes. I can only assume they do these by hand, with no fixtures at all.If the brackets and holes had been made even remotely square, this would be a five-star product.

Solid Oak and finished well
This shelf is made of real Oak and has a nice warm, satin finish applied. The Oak is not all one piece, but is made of 3 pieces glued together, but you'd have to look closely to notice. Being laminated like this makes the shelf more stable and reduces the risk of the shelf warping. It comes with two solid steel brackets that you fix to the wall with the included screws and plugs and then simply slide the shelf onto them. They seem substantial and are welded together, so should provide a very stable shelf.Overall I am very pleased with this shelf.

Floating Shelf
As far as I can tell, it’s actual real wood!I thought it would be just a piece of wood but there are recessed fixtures at the back for attaching it to the wall.I’ve not put it up yet but it strikes me as a little fiddly and I’m not personally sure that I’m so offended by shelf brackets as to be bothered….but I could be wrong. What I can see, is that it seems a little pricey compared to similar items available. Perhaps it’s my ignorance and it holds some quality that I’m unaware of.She wood seems very solid.

Good quality,
The floating shelf is made from good-quality wood and comes with screws for fixing. The size and thickness are pretty decent too. Also, the quality and finishing are good. I have attached the shelf to my living room wall and it looks quite pretty. However, the fixtures were not the best and were a bit troublesome. Apart from that, this is a nice shelf and no other issues were seen.

Solid wood, lovely finish, wonky fixtures
We were very pleased with this shelf when we unpacked it. It's a lovely colour with a nice, smooth finish and is real wood. However, the fixtures are wonky and made fitting it quite bothersome. Maybe ours was a faulty one, but besides that it is a lovely shelf.

MENSOLA LEGNO MASSELLO
Ho dovuto piazzarla in cameretta.
