ESV Single Column Heritage Bible (Trutone, Chestnut)

Purchased this as a gift for a member of my family and it appeared well made. No apparent issues so far and the binding is good and the paper seems a decent quality.

Good quality bible. To me, readability is comparable to more premium bibles such as the cambridge. Single column, minimal to no bleedthrough, easy to read. I recommend to use a Bible cover as the attachment from book block to the leather cover is a potential weak point.

I got this for myself after reading and studying out of an NKJV (TN) study Bible. I love that Bible, but after reading ESV, how easily it reads (even NKJV feels clunky now), and going to single column, I absolutely love this Bible. The leather is soft and it's nice and the Bible is pretty floppy. The gilding has required many pages to be separated one at a time. Fun if you like that kinda thing, but more of a pain for me when I just want to turn 1 page. The hertiage part of this Bible means it has a few pages dedicated at the front for marriages, births, and deaths within your family. This is an easy reading Bible, an easy travel Bible, and it has a simple look, which I appreciate. The biggest down side to not reading out of a study Bible, is not reading out of a study Bible! No references, which I have spent hours wandering through! No contextual notes, translations, concordance, etc. The only notes within the Bible are explanations on how/why words or phrases were translated a specific way. Despite not having the concordance, I give this Bible a solid 10/10 and would easily recommend and gift it to a friend or family member!

Bible looks great and is easy to read, with the large 9.5 font! It came with one small defect, one of the pages was not cut correctly. I reached out to crossway and they are sending a new one! Really helpful!

The text block is wonderful and the paper is good quality. I do not like the trutone cover at all which feels cheap and plasticky. Other publishers produce far superior synthetic covers but if you want a non leather Bible then at least there is this affordable option.
