Security Chain Company Z-579 Z-Chain Extreme Performance Cable Tire Traction Chain - Set of 2

First, I attempted to contact the company before writing a negative review but no contact method is listed. Bought Z-579 for my pickup with 245-75-17 tires, might be fine for highway use but useless on a snow covered gravel driveway. They do not come with Octopus rubbers like every other brand I have ordered, with the chains on the tightest setting available they come of as soon as the tire spins a bit on gravel, after putting them back on many times 1 side ripped off a rear brake line meaning I had to drive home with front brakes only. I have had other cable chains for different trucks that I used on this driveway without any trouble at all, this product is not worth buying except perhaps for the lightest duty

Chains fit great on a set of 265/65R18 Tires. recommend carrying a some zip-ties in the glove box. The system used to secure the extra cabling is not sufficient and could result in damage to your truck if not properly secured.

I haven’t had cause to use these yet but I have practiced installing them and after a couple of times it’s not hard.
