The Onix Graphite Evoke Tear Drop is known for its outstanding touch and control at the net. The unique tear drop shape focuses shots into the sweet spot of the paddle, making this more concentrated hitting surface best-suited to advanced-level players. The polypropylene core of the Evoke delivers the outstanding feel of this paddle, but also offers a good balance of all the desirable play characteristics such as excellent pop and speed. The poly core also contributes to the lightweight playability of the paddle with a total weight of only 6.9 – 7.2 ounces. The Graphite Evoke Tear Drop Paddle is the perfect paddle for advanced level players that want a consistent touch paddle that also delivers pop and an optimized sweet spot. Onix Graphite Evoke Tear Drop Core: Polypropylene Face: Graphite Grip Size: 4-1/2” Handle Length: 5-1/2” Paddle Shape: Tear Drop Paddle Weight: 6.9 – 7.2 Ounces

A very good paddle
Observations after four months:I have three other paddles, weighing 7.6, 8.0 and 8.6 ounces. At 7 ounces, this is my lightest and quietest. It's polypropylene core is quieter than my others' aluminum cores (which I like and have no problems with) and the design's graphite face has more texture for control and slicing than the fiberglass faces of my other paddles (which I like and have no problems with). So far, very durable. I've seen other graphite paddles break.I think the teardrop shape forces me, psychologically, at least, to concentrate my hits at the head of the paddle. My red on black logo is less garish. I don't know if that's an old or new design. I prefer a simple designI've seen no loss of speed and power with slams. I have more accuracy with power shots and increased touch in no-volley-zone play - even more than my next lightest paddle. I'm sure part of this is getting used to the paddle. I've played for 1.5 years.I hesitated to spend $100, but playing 3-4 times a week makes this worth it. My game is better, and I'm keeping the body in shape.

Love paddle. Durability issue.
I absolutely love this paddle. It has great control and enough power when needed. However, they seem to have issues with longevity. I’ve had three different ones in the last 20 months. I play 3-4 times a week and get at least 5 good hard overheads each day. All three paddles have snapped where the handle meets the head of the paddle. I guess they can’t take the repeated torque? I don’t abuse my equipment so it’s puzzling why this keeps happening. I’ll try one more cause I love them when they are together but the $80 is getting hard to swallow. My Onix Z5 is still around after 3 years so it will have to do until I decide to drop the money for another evoke.

Paddle quality issues
The paddle arrived quickly and appeared to be brand new in its original packaging, and the shipping box was not damaged. However, after unwrapping and inspecting the paddle I noticed some very obvious defects in the hitting surface of the paddles. They appear to be 3 small bubbles that had formed during manufacturing, then popped, leaving defects on and through the skin of the paddle on both sides. I was concerned that these defects would have grown larger with any use of the paddle. I’m still not sure how this would have ever made it past “quality control” at Onix, which used to be my company of choice, but, I have purchased 3 other paddles since from other smaller paddle manufacturers as gifts , with no such quality issues. Disappointed in OnixOn a positive note, I returned the paddle with no issue, for credit, thanks to Amazon. The best company ever, in my very humble opinion.

Cracking above handle
Great paddle with beautiful control. If you are use to dinking with the bottom edge on the square paddle this one takes a little getting use to. Was worried about getting a new one but I am so glad I did.Paddle did not last! Bought in May and is cracking just above handle in July just missing the return limit!

Nice Pop for Power
As the description says, you can really feel and here the "pop" and power, especially from the baseline. Do wish the paddle was somewhat more textured for spin though. But a superior paddle to the amorey I was playing with.

long handle and light
I bought this paddle for my spouse for Christmas. After struggling to transition it a few times, she playing better than ever. Her serves are deeper and lower barely clearing the net. She also has a slashing cross court shot that leaves many shaking their head. I tried it and found it too light and small however it seems a perfect match for the ladies

Excellent paddle
Purchased the light paddle with large grip. This is my new favorite paddle. Large sweet spot in the center returns balls with little effort. Would definetely recommend.

Very lightweight .. very nice looking, and seems to be made very well, comfortable handle, I played six games today, and am very happy with the feel and response of hitting the ball. No dents as in my other paddles.
