Excellent complement to vintage battle rifles
I got this for my M1A Match rifle to keep the aesthetic as to military issue as possible. I used these rifles when in the Navy, the M14 version, and really like the look over more contemporary slings. As the M1 and M14 have the same furniture the slings are interchangeable and it fits perfect. The cotton webbing is very thick and feels and smells of the same quality we have in service. The metal fasteners and clasps are as well high quality and when I tighten the strap it stays put, no loosening on its own. The length is mil-spec and I can let it out and wrap around my forearm to stabilize seated or standing shots. I really enjoy this sling and it keeps my M1A looking smart.

Easy install!
This went on slicker than owl snot! However, the buckle to adjust the sling was very tight. It's good in that once cinched in place, it will NOT move. However, my old arthritic hands had trouble in getting the buckle closed. Some slip joint pliers fixed that nicely. The buckle comes undone very easily, with just a pull on the sling. I'm going to get one for my 1903a3 as well!

Sling
Brought for grandson. Not a bad repro of the original.

Easier to fight our enemies than to fight this sling.
Rated 1 star because Amazon won’t allow negative scores. This appears to be a badly reconditioned GI sling. All metal parts are covered with a very thick coat of battleship grey paint. It took 15 minutes and multiple tools to open the compression lock. It took 45 minutes to get the metal end tab through the strap. That required hammers, chisels and vise grips. I wish that I had spent the extra $8 for the real deal.

Good sling for the money
Hardware isn't as nicely finished as originals, though still not bad. Color is a little more khaki than olive drab, but not that far off faded originals I've seen. Seems sturdy enough, is dimensionally correct, and works as intended. Price is right, so if you're looking for a good budget sling, this will do the job.

Slip on keeper not of best materal.
Good overall but slip on connection had no spring so it stayed spread instead of gripping.

Bad Clip.
The sling is good, but the spring steel clip is not shaped right to stay on the swivel. I just threw the clip away and use the sling.
