A Certain Scientific Railgun Vol. 3

This third volume of the `Railgun' manga is split into two halves. The first half sees the conclusion of the Level Upper arc and sees Kiyama-sensei lose control of the network of liked minds and creating an "AIM Burst", a powerful monster that forces Mikoto to use her full power to stop. The second part of the volume is a flashback to the time Kuroko and Uiharu first met.The `Railgun' manga continues to be a very entertaining series that has a good mixture of humour and action, as well as some nice artwork. The conclusion of the Level Upper arc is nice and gives us a chance to see Mikoto going all out against an opponent and gives us a glimpse at just how powerful the third ranked Level 5 actually is. The conclusion of the arc also gives us some foreshadowing of future events as well. Kuroko and Uiharu's flashback is also nice with some good humour and a nice look at how Kuroko has grown in power over time. The arc also gives us a bit of information on how Judgement recruits its members as well. The volume also includes a small amount of extras in the form of extracts from Kuroko's diary and a single 4-koma strip.Overall this was a very enjoyable volume of the manga and one definitely worth a full five stars.

Volume 3 ends the level upper arc , it had great action and a cool side story is included showing us the first meeting of Kuroko and Uiharu . My favorite manga in ages
