ZAGG Glass Elite Google Pixel 8a Screen Protector - Ultra-Durable Tempered Glass, 5X Stronger, Smudge-Free, Easy Install, Eco-Friendly

When I purchase a new phone, that big expense makes me want to protect it as much as possible. While there are cheaper options for a phone case that might work just as well as the expensive ones, a screen protector is a different matter. It has to be bullet-proof. It has to be near-invisible. It has to allow your features, like fingerprint unlock, to work flawlessly. The Zagg Screen Protector does all of those things. It was very easy to install, with the included stability tray, and the included cleaning materials guaranteed a smooth and tight fit. Although this screen protector is on the pricey side, some things are worth the few extra bucks, particularly when compared as a percentage of the price of a new phone!

Changed to one star. The reinforced protector cracked with the phone in my pocket.I had a ton of bubbles on the screen. I kept working to get them out to no avail. The case you use to get the protector on is a nice addition, does make for easy install.

Update: the day after installing, any screen bubbles went away on their own. I've had that happen with other Zagg screen protectors on past phones. Product now looks and feels beautiful on the phone.Very nice product that feels nice and smooth to the touch. The Zagg website demonstrates how to install the product however, they use a squeegee to smooth out the bubbles. This version DOES NOT COME WITH A SQUEEGEE.I have a couple of bubbles. Fortunately, they're only seen when the phone screen is off and dark. While using the phone, because it is backlit, the bubbles are not seen and don't drive you nuts.

I have used ZAGG screen protectors for a while. With each phone model I get, they keep getting easier and easier to install dust and bubble free. This one was no exception.With the fingerprint reader in the middle of the screen, many protectors tend to cause malfunctions--even others that were Google-approved like this one is. The ZAGG, however, has been able to read fingerprints that were programmed prior to installing it, like it was a bare screen. I haven't come across any others that do this. When I read about so many people having problems with speed of fingerprint reading, it was a non-issue for me and my family--we had ZAGG. Since they have a lifetime warrantee, replacement screens are available for low cost. With other brands, unless you have an iPhone, they have already moved on to other phone models so screen protectors that fit my older phone are as scarce as hen's teeth!I typically get 2 years out of a ZAGG, 5 months non-ZAGG. Yes, the price is initially high, but the quality is unmatched.

My phone screen is protected, so this thing gets a star for that at least, but I'm disappointed by the quality and durability of the protector. Within a month, the protector started to accumulate scratches, and after about 6 months it has a bunch of very noticeable cracks. I don't do anything particularly scratchy with this phone -- it lives in a different pocket from my keys, away from hard or sharp objects. I've usually gotten a year or two with past phone protectors before they had enough damage that I replaced them, but this one is toast after just a few months.

This protector is cut perfectly for the pixel 8 screen. Very easy to install. Although there were some bubbles at first, I used credit card with a soft cloth around it to squeegee out the bubbles. Would have liked to have seen the install kit come with something to press the air bubbles out, like other installation kits. Fingerprint sensor works great with the screen protector as well. I didn't have to change the settings to screen protector mode in the phone settings. Great buy!!! Will update if anything changes.Update ---- Screen cracked in two places on the first minor drop inside the house. Same quality as a $10 to $15 screen protector. Wouldn't buy again. I'm dropping two stars because of the high price and low durability.

TL;DR - The Screen Protector came with little adhesive for it to stick to my phone as it was always following my movements when clearing bubbles. Plus no squeegee.I was looking forward to this because the phone was definitely not cheap. It didn't even come with a squeegee, tf. I placed my phone on the alignment tray which I liked since it came with 2 prongs (top and bottom) to help align the screen protector.Used the cleaning pad, dried it with the cloth, used the sticker to pick up fine particles. So far so good. Instructions said to peel off the first tab, which I did and in doing so it slightly peeled off the other tab around the edges in which it was covering the whole other side of "Tab 1". No biggie.Now, where "Tab 1" was is the face down (the side that's going to stick to the phone) and the opposite side is the other tab covering the entirety of that face up side. I place the Screen Protector [SC] down on my phone with the alignment tray. Perfectly aligned!!! Instruction video said to press down from left to right that way the middle of the SC would stick and from that middle point to press upwards and downwards to completely stick.It barely stuck to my phone when I tried the left to right movement. I pressed harder and it just followed my movement. I cleaned my phone some more and tried again and it just wouldn't stick enough. It just barely stuck to my phone. I had it aligned again and this time I left it alone for about 10 minutes to see if maybe that would work. It had some bubbles this time so I thought it did work. As I went to clear the SC of all bubbles the SC was somewhat firmly stuck to my Phone because it slightly moved with my movements. I had one cloth on one end to hold while the other would clear the bubbles and the SC only moved on the side where I was moving to clear the bubbles.With my index finger and thumb I touch both sides of the SC and there's barely any adhesive or whatever on the face down side that was supposed to stick to my phone. This SC came with little adhesive for it to work and it infuriated me.

I watched a youtube tutorial and read the instructions, it was pretty straight forward. Clean, wipe, use dust sticker, and installed the screen protector with the alignment plastic they provided. It was rather straightforward, no issues. No dust or bubbles stayed, just gently press/push them out. One tip I would have liked to know is when you are carefully moving the peeled screen protector down onto your phone screen, I'd recommend you first hold it with both hands, then hover it just above the screen, then anchor both of your pinky finger knuckles securely on the table first, as this helped my shaky hands become less shaky, as the screen protector is slowly lowered onto your phone screen. From there, it was easy peasy. I don't mind that that the edges do not curve like the other brands, as my phone case would wrap around the edges anyway.

Doesn't stick to the screen well, especially in the corners. Instructions were terribly written, literally one word for each step, with no indicator to tell you how to line the phone up in the tray so that it goes on the right way. Absolutely ridiculous for the price. Never purchasing this again. Don't bother, I've had better screen protectors for a 10th of the price of this one, with way better installation instructions, and virtually indestructable.

Well worth the money

It did its job but the first time I dropped my phone it cracked across the screen. So it did its job and protected the phone but didn't survive long. It also never fully stuck to the screen on the left side so there is discoloration/air underneath on the left side.
