I totally forgot to do this at first, and it caused a bit of confusion. Once I took off the tape, everything worked perfectly, and I was so relieved!One more pro tip for you, if you have heavy shag carpet, get an 18” x 18” ceramic tile to place the unit on. It helps with the weight sensors having it sit on a hard surface rather than the carpet.In conclusion, I can’t recommend the Self-Cleaning Automatic Litter Box enough. At first, when I spent $300 plus dollars on a litter box, I felt like a fool and regretted my decision; however, I was completely wrong. This product is WORTH EVERY PENNY. I've had cats since I was a small boy. My mom used to make me clean the litter box; which I did a gazillion times. I LOVE this product. It's easy to use, easy to set up and it cleans the litter box flawlessly. I read all the "One Star Reviews" before I purchased it...but these people are crazy. (They are probably the same people burning Tesla's...haha) If you're a cat owner, this is the best invention ever. My cat loves it. He crawled inside right away and did his business. The litter box is bigger than I expected...but who cares. I'm happy...my cat is happy...the house smells clean. I change the bag about once a week (I'm a clean freak) and it takes me less than30 seconds to change it. I seriously can't find anything bad to say about this product. The app is kind of cool. It tells you each time the cat uses the box. I thought the app was broken at first because my cat went inside like 20x a day (the first week)....but that's because he thought it was fun. Now, 2-3 times a day. It even tells how much your cat weighs. Anyways....I'm thrilled that I bought it. It's worth every penny.

There is no ripping or leaking, even with heavy clumping litter.I have a LitterRobot and these liners fit perfectly with room to fold over the edges.The drawstring closure is a huge plus, and it makes it quick and clean to tie up and toss without any mess. I used to have to buy trashbags from Walmart but I will be purchasing these again! With 120 in a pack, it’s a great value and lasts a long time, even in a multi-cat household!! I highly recommend these!
