Not worth the hassle, not a smooth ride
This is not quite a perfect fit for my Steelcase Leap V1 chair. It all went together ok, but the shaft of the cylinder goes too far into the opening on the seat, so that the release button is pushed no matter what (yes, the internal stop is backed out as far as it will go). Believe it or not, I took two fingers of a rubber (nitrile) glove and put them over the shaft. That gave just enough extra diameter to make the cylinder usable. It works now, though the adjustment is not smooth--it drops abruptly once engaged, so that I get a jerking motion tying to engage the release just enough to drop the right amount. I got it to work, so it gets two stars. I suspect the qc may be a little lacking, as the dimensions listed appear to be correct but the actual piece is just a bit off.

Easy replacement
The product makes it easy to replace your chair's worn out seat adjustment cylinder. The only problem is that at the minimum height I am now too high up -- I'm 5'8"

Good piston and better value
This worked, easy fit if you’ve ever removed one you know they’re not easy because of the tight fit. This one I liked because it was 1” taller and still lowered equally as low as old one but that 1” makes a difference in the height and it’s quite nice actually.

Great Way to Save an Office Chair
Works Great. Was an easy disassembly and install. Be sure to read all the other reviewers instructions. Worked Great for me.

shaft was bent only 30 days new!
do not buy this bent after 30 days using it. Labeled Heavy duty but was junk DO NOT BUY Short return window so I'm out. Nice AMAZON Crappy Product.

Perfect product
I was about to throw my chair due to cylinder issue. Then found this product. Easy to fix this. all you need is a mallet and wrench to remove the old cylinder. Once it’s done, jus insert both the ways. YouTube videos helped me to know how to do it.

Good replacements if you can get the old ones out
Needs a good hammer or puller to get old cylinder out. These install easily and work great.
