I hate paper straws, and I REALLY hate the ones I get at Chipotle, where I get lunch almost daily. I bought these so I'd never have to use paper straws again. Keep a couple at home and a couple in the car. I bought some wider aluminum ones as well but I definitely prefer these. I was concerned about the 8.5" length, but even with large drinks they work great. I just toss them in the dishwasher with the rest of my dishes and they're ready for use again.

I have super sensitive teeth, so I use straws with everything, hot or cold, I had been getting increasingly uncomfortable about using plastic straws, and paper straws don't work with hot drinks, so I was happy to find these. I LOVE them. I carry one in my purse for outside use. They don't change the flavor of drinks.

I am actively trying to get more minerals into my system- these straws are a great way to get copper into my water intake.
