I’m using it for beans and micro greens so far, and helps keep everything confined. The drain holes and bottom tray work really well, allowing excess water to flow through so the seeds don’t sit in water. This helps prevent mold and keeps the sprouts fresh. I knew that these were about 6"x6", but the height is so small that the sprouts really can't grow. I had to play with the trays because they're slightly offset - think about one a fraction of an inch bigger than the previous tray. I thought this was supposed to hold five trays but it's really four tiny ones. I would return it but my friend stomped the box. I ended up buying trays with grow mat medium at 10" square as a replacement to this item. Pay attention to the one star ratings because they are accurate. If I had seen measurements then I wouldn't have purchased this item.

Instructions are kinda B.s. I grew some without doing the blackout period and they grew faster than when I did the blackout period. Do not put in the dishwasher it will discolor the clear plastic

Works great! I put mine under a running faucet in the sink to water them, the water flows out in sink no mess. Was using jar method this is a little easier

It works. Easy to keep clean and germ free between harvests. Easy to harvest. Small footprint, large yield. I grow alfalfa micro greens and can stagger harvest time per level. I recommend it.

Love these trays but they don’t work when the sprouts get too tall. Also leaves them moist making it easier to mold. Perfect for starting seeds but recommend leaving lids off once germination occurs.
