Perfect relaxing TV!
If you like gentle Sunday afternoon-type murder mysteries / general mystery shows (like Rosemary and Thyme for example) then you will love this. Set in and filmed around Stratford-Upon-Avon the locations are beautiful. The script is witty and not too taxing. All 3 lead actors are wonderful and have great chemistry. Looking forward to Series 2!BLU-RAY UPDATE: Now this show is out on Blu-Ray I got it to replace the DVD. The episodes on the Blu-Ray are now in the correct order as broadcast (unlike the DVD) and of course it looks even more stunning in HD!

GREAT
Fabulous detective duo that has drama and comedy. I am at a loss as to why this was not shown on television at a prime-time viewing. Am looking forward to the next series, hopefully there will be another. I am pleased with my purchase and would buy again.

Great fun
Made a boob and bought my sister for Christmas a dvd collection that she’d already got so had to re-think, found this on her wish list and sent for it asap. Service great .. it arrived in days. Oddly enough it was today that she told me that she’d watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. From anyone that’s praise but from my sister who owns more dvd sets .. crime or otherwise ... than any other person I know it’s praise indeed.Highly recommended for good light entertainment

Charming mystery series
The mystery plots are not that complex, and the endings not so difficult to predict. However, the reason to watch is the playful chemistry between leads Mark Benton and Jo Joyner. I hope a second series is produced. It seems the episodes are presented on the DVD not following the order they were broadcast in, which is mildly annoying.

Warm hearted, funny and stands up to repeated viewings
This is such a great series - warm hearted, funny, set in Stratford on Avon, good writing and plots, and many Shapkeaspeare references. Roll on series 2!

As enjoyable as the stories are unlikely. I would definitely buy a series 2.

DVD is quality entertainment without bad language and vulgarity. Beautiful scenery and locations and interesting and humerous murder plots for the cast to solve. if you like midsomer murder type programmes, you will enjoy this DVD
