First of all, my daughter is on the spectrum, she used to be afraid to go all the way in the water!! This community pool goes to 4 1/2 feet. I got this inflatable swim vest for my little client, and it was a total win! It fit perfectly, stayed secure in the water, and gave just the right amount of support while still allowing them to move freely and have fun. 🏊‍♂️☀️Inflating and deflating it was super quick, and it packed easily for travel. The bright color made it easy to spot them in the pool. Great for building water confidence while keeping safety first

I will report that this vest really works well. 7 yo about 60lbs. The middle harness is a little wimpy but the way the vest fits, arms naturally hold the kid into the vest. It really keeps there head above the water.

I bought this in the bigger (medium) size for my 6 year old (50 lb, minimum weight for this size) who really wanted to enjoy the pool with me but has had very little experience in water and had overwhelming anxiety about coming off the pool steps, even though he can stand up, and even with me holding him. He even told me that I should tell his dad to get him one to keep at their house. :) It seems MUCH more comfortable and reassuring than arm floaties and he feels so safe in it that he has actually started to leave the steps with me and even attempted to swim with me nearby. The double inflation chambers make it feel very sturdy and dependable BUT the strap that goes into the buckle for tightening does absolutely nothing. I actually just wrapped it around itself and basically rely more on the rigidity of the floaty's shape to keep it on him, because not only is the strap on the other side too long for tightening to be effective at his size, but it slides right out of the buckle with no effort at all. It's okay for us though, because I'm always supervising him and he's small enough that the edges press together on their own just from the sturdiness of the floaty.

MUCH better than "floaties". These are GREAT for travel. About 2 adult breaths in each chamber will inflate the vest -- yes, 2 redundant chambers. Our 6-year-old is an okay swimmer in a pool, but we went to the ocean, and I wanted a little more reassurance. She did not want the "baby" floaties, but she was fine with this device. It is super compact when deflated and super buoyant when inflated. It also forces their body to supinate rather than pronate like some other child floatation devices. While at the resort in DR, 3 people asked us where we got this vest -- hoping we got it at the resort's gift shop so they could buy one. Our 9-year-old is a great swimmer, and he wanted one of these.

The best floating I ever bought but one problem my daugther just used once and it damaged on one of the air entrance.
