We were looking for a relatively cheap TV for our son's bedroom. our criteria was that it had smart TV functions for youtube, netflix, amazon prime, freeview channels, sky etc, that it could be connected to our son's Nintendo Switch, good picture and sound etc and that well, it didnt cost too much.I expected that we would buy from a cheaper brand and with that have to make a few compromises and I had accepted this. But then we found this LG smart monitor and I was definitely intrigued. I didnt want to buy a computer monitor. we were looking for a TV, but on looking into this further on youtube, it seemed that it would give us the functionality we were looking for and more, because looking forward, at some point in the near future, I guess this will become our son's computer monitor, just not yet. he is only 8 years old. And, it was from a brand I trust, we have a nice 55inch LG TV in our living room and are very hapy with it. So, we decided to take a chance. we had planned to buy the 24" monitor but I saw a 27" monitor priced at around £141 and listed as 'nearly new', and I thought I would try. I am so glad we did. the item was in pristine condition. it was so easy to set up and my son is of course delighted. we have to control this 'screen time' thing that we are trying to manage with him. we will get there. parental controls on youtube and netflix etc were easy to set up. a computer monitor that doubles as a TV. amazing!

Purchased this monitor as I wanted a bigger one and like the idea of it being a smart monitor also the reduced price was enticing it doesn't look cheap and compliments my setup as I mainly use it for my ps5 but this monitor is not for serious hardened gamers as it only has 60fps so would really suit casual gamers my only gripes and they are minor1- there is no 3.5mm headphones jack so couldn't use my original PC speaker2- the monitor speakers are not great but I have never heard any monitor with good sound3- the screen is a gloss screen so you will get reflections from any light maybe annoying for some4- this is just a personal one I had to purchase a tv soundbar for the hdmi connection as I found the bluetooth wasn't great for me and as mentioned the lack of headphones jackBut I am happy with it and would recommend it especially to those that enjoy streaming films or programmes

Not suitable for use as a monitor - whenever my computer wakes from sleep the monitor does not power on correctly - it goes through a repeating cycle of full-screen primary colours and black and white until I do a hard power-off/on of the monitor or the connected computer. This is a PITA. The behaviour is the same for HDMI and USB-C inputs. I am using the HDMI cable provided; the behaviour is the same when a Windows 11 desktop pc or an Apple MacBook Pro is attached; I have other monitors (Dell) which do not exhibit this problem with any of my computers or the cables I am using. Avoid.

All the functions and design are good except that LG 32SR83U doesn’t contain built-in Alexa app. I tried to follow the procedures of using LG ThinQ app to connect with this smart tv and Alexa Echo Dot so as to connect with Alexa system. However, the system said this TV cannot contain LG ThinQ app due to “geographical restriction” that I have no idea of what it means! Would LG please explain the issue and provide solution?Thanks

Do not recommend. Sleek and beautiful design but not recommended as a working monitor. DOES NOT come with magnetic attachable camera as advertised. Colours are horrible I adjusted as best as possible. Quality of image is terrible. Will not connect to my MacBook Air via USB-C, I can only mirror my screen. Feels 1000% like a TV not a monitor. If you wanna get this as a working monitor- 1000% not worth it absolutely terrible for this purpose. If u wanna watch tv on it and use it primarily as that and OCCASIONALLY as a work monitor then ok. But as a PRIMARY work monitor DEF NOT 🙅🏻‍♀️. Super super dissappointing! I researched so much and had such high hopes and got this instead of the Samsung M8 but now I wouldn’t even bother w that one. Hopefully this helps someone with their decision. I unfortunately have to return it.

This is a great looking 4k monitor that works perfectly as the central part of a home office. I wanted a monitor that was thin and sleek would blend seamlessly into a bedroom as a television without compromising my ability to work on multiple documents. The standard VESA mount means it is easy to combine with an adjustable wall mount, and the included remote and smart tv functionality works perfectly for my needs. If you are looking for an office solution with limited space I highly recommended this monitor.

Great tv, easy to use. we mounted this on a stand for exhibitions we attend.
