Save the mess with heavy gear oil
These extractors work great to remove fluid from differentials, manual transmissions anything with a limited space. it is strong enough to transfer heavy gear oil. Makes the job a lot easier and less messy.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I use this to change the oil in my mower and pressure washer, as they don't have drain plugs like in the old days. This is so much easier than trying to tip the equipment and drain out of the filler tube. I just stick the hose in the filler, all the way to the bottom of the crankcase and pull up on the plunger. No mess!

Revised review: Broken but will work
Original review below this revised review.The seller offered to replace the item with one that is not broken. Per Amazon rules I am not revising my review and rating due to the above average customer support but due to the fine performance of this pump. I received it yesterday and am very happy with it.OriginalThere’s a serrated ring inside to keep the rigid tube from falling out once you install it. On mine the ring came out and now the tube isn’t secure. I think I’ll try an o-ring in its place

good gig
needed this to drain my lawnmower oil. really did a great job. it takes about 10 pulls to get all the oil out, and the suction is strong so it takes some strength to do each pull, but the extension on it enables you to get all the old oil out which is key.

Very difficult to use.
Very very difficult to extract fluid from the bottle and just as difficult to squeeze it out. Will never buy again.

It's very precise and does not leak.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: If this pump will help you get fluids where you never thought you good in engine and transmission applications as well as differentials etc. Automotively speaking it is excellent and non leaking and helps you measure your inputs and outtakes very precisely. Looks like it would be a great tool for laboratory and other betnickle work.

Very easy to use
Used this to aid in changing out transmission fluid only needing to remove 3 qts. Worked great with very ease of movement either up or down suction. I had tried another type that you literally could not extract anything so I was very pleased with this one especially for the price. It definitely saved me alot of time. Happy with purchase and seller.
