Widemouth Above Ground Pool Skimmer Cover Kit Model 1010

I got this for winterizing my pool, and it also works great to block off water if you need to work on the pump or sand filter. Easy to install.

This piece was a great idea for a common problem. It has performed as promised without issue. I still use it two years after purchase and hasn't let me down yet

I purchased the Aquador Widemouth Pool Skimmer Cover Kit Model 1010 for closing my above-ground pool, and it seems like a well-designed product. However, I encountered a challenge with the installation process. To install the cover, I had to drain the pool water below the skimmer, which isn't ideal when preparing to close the pool. Since I’m now closing the pool, it doesn’t make sense to refill it just to test if the cover works properly. As a result, I won’t be able to use it for its intended purpose until next summer. It appears to be a sturdy product, and I’m hopeful it will work well when I can fully test it.

Exactly what I needed. I have an Eliminator Xtreme pool cover which came with a skimmer dam, but it always leaked and had to be caulked. This is so much better! I cut a V in the middle of the top for overflow and works perfectly. No leaks!

Old one lasted 5 years before the plastic to the cover that seals off the skimmer opening started to break down and become brittle. I kept the original frame on and put the new cover on, sealed off perfectly. It helps to put the cover on before it gets too cold in the fall, plastic is more flexible in warmer temperatures. Keep the cover out of the sun and heat during the summer, helps with longevity

This wasn't delivered in a box. When I opened the plastic wrap it was shipped in, the plastic frame had been snapped in half. I'm exchanging it for a new one and hopefully it will be shipped with better protection. Other than that, it seems to be perfect for closing our skimmer. I hopefully will be able to give it a better rating for the product itself.
