Mainstreet Classics Broadway 5-in-1 Combo Board Game Set: Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, Chinese Checkers, and Dice Games

My son wanted a nice chess board, but I wasn't spending $200 for the really nice wooden ones, so this is a nice alternative. Granted it's not as fancy as wood, but it still looks nice and has additional games included. The marbles are nice also being glass, not plastic. Hopefully it holds up.

We ordered the "wooden game house set" and that was a piece of junk. Returned it and ordered this set. Was double the price but so much nicer and totally worth the 40.00. I will order more as gifts for friends and family. My only complaint is that the marbles for the Chinese checkers are clear with a teensy bit of color in them. So they basically look all the same color. I'll have to order colored marbles to replace the marbles That came with the set.

Good quality overall.1. I wish the chess pieces were heavier, but that's how regular wood pieces work.2. Checkers dark pieces are black, not like shown in the picture, and can't be seen clearly when using the black squares. I might paint them RED!3. The Chinese checkers marble colors can barely be distinguished. Solid color marbles would've been better.

I was worried this set wouldn't be worth the price, but its nice, it has a leather look, but I am not sure if its really leather. Chess and Checker/backgammon pieces are both wood, maybe a bit on the small side but classy looking. The Chinese Checkers markers are very pretty, but as some people said the colors arent very dramatic. The drawers for pieces fit snugle, and small velvet bags ate included. I didn't see a rules sheet anywhere, but I am guessing the rules for these games should be easy to find online. Overall worth the almost 50$ I. Spent on it.

I really love this set I purchased. The quality was great. I guess if I had to critique it would be the chess pieces really don't fit in the velvet bags in the drawers (drawer is not deep enough). Also the chess pieces were lighter than expected but the quality was very good. I like how compact the games are and love that it includes Chinese checkers.

Liked usefulness of games available. Used this as gift for younger persons introduction to the games in the set.

leather and pieces are nice, but the draw got stuck the first time pulling it out and it ripped. Disappointed for the price.

So pleased with this. I was looking for a chess board for my son as a Christmas gift. I wanted something that would last a long time. This went above and beyond in meeting my expectations. It's study and nicely made. The chess pieces are nice size and fit into a drawer. There are other games kids can play too, which is nice.
