Not very sturdy but for the price is OK. I only need it during wind storms or a lot of rain (not often here in CALI) when the pool service is not at hand. So, the lower quality is OK as it is not in use very often. Good product, overall, for the cost.

I wrote my original review October 27, 2019. Today is Oct 8, 2021 and this net is still going strong. I haven’t used it everyday but still it’s been 2 years and there still isn’t any rips or holes in it. I would buy it again and recommend.Works just as well as the expensive ones you get in store. They are a little flimsy so I’m afraid it will break with too much weight but so far so good and I’ve put quite a bit of leaves in it (I have bamboo trees above my pool that shed like crazy)

Ordered this to maintain a small inflatable pool we typically get each summer. I say each summer because that’s how long these pools last…This skimmer however was great! Cheaper price than I can get at the store and helps remove grass that the kids track into the pool. I can’t speak on attaching it to a pole or anything since I’m only using it as a hand tool. It gets the job done and on the cheap. There’s really nothing more that I can contribute to writing a review on a $5.99 pool skimmer, but I’d recommend it if you have aligned expectations. I do think there’s a shot it outlasts these painfully low durability inflatable pools!

The good- These were two separate pool skimmers for a single good price. They both work well to do their intended functions.The less than good- the construction isn't strong. When trying to use the deep bag to pick up from the bottom of the pool the bag frame flexes, making it difficult to make the contact that is needed. The bag is also rather heavy and stiff. I'm used to being able to flip the bag upside down on the end of the pole and shake it to get the bag to invert and empty the contents over my fence. This bag is stiff enough that the only way to empty it is to manually grab the bag and empty it.To be clear, neither of these has broken, bent, or torn. They are still in the same condition as when I received them, after using for most of this summer. In that respect it is a good value. However, I wish I had spent more to get a sturdier frame and more sheer netting in the bag, even though I know that more sheer equals more fragile.

It is over all OK. I am not returning it. It is less sturdy than my previous, net seem to be stiff and collected leaves and branches do not fall out when I try to empty it, I have to use my hand to push it out. On other hand the net seem to be stronger and not as easy torn by the branches. Time will show durability.Update May 2024: increase rating to 5 stars. It lasted longer than my other rakes-4 years

Baskets are cheaper and on the cheaper side, but I found they are less weighty making it easier to lift and work with. I’m happy with the lighter baskets just don’t know how long they will last. The net seems like quality but the frame is not as sturdy as my previous one.

The first time I ordered this skimming net, everything was fine. It worked well and lasted 3 years before the netting pulled away from the frame and left gaping holes, making the net much less effective. No big deal, I'll just get another. Well, my 2nd purchase arrived with the netting already pulled away from the frame. So I returned it and ordered again, figuring that was probably a fluke. The 3rd order was supposed to arrive 2 weeks ago and still has not been shipped. The delivery date was changed on me at least twice, with the current date supposedly today, but as I've said, it's not even been shipped yet. So I've cancelled the order and am instead trying a completely different skimming net/company.If you purchase, and it arrives, and is undamaged, this net worked just fine and was a great value. But just understand, when you purchase, be aware there's a decent chance you will not receive an undamaged, working net anytime soon. If you are not willing to make the gamble, don't bother with this one and go with another net instead. Good luck!!
