Great monitor for a great price!
I bought this monitor as a secondary monitor for a new PC I had just built. The screen is great and really big, I ended up using it as my primary monitor just due to the layout of my desk and it works great and is a very reasonable price.I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys computers, gaming, is in school because it is such a great price and is pretty big. It may not be as sharp as some of the higher end monitors, but it is not noticeable. The only problems I had was the DVI cable is very short, like 12 inches and the power cord is much longer, which can make for an awkward set up. I also had a little trouble securing the screen to the second part of the stand, though it just took a little extra pressure. None of these problems swayed me from giving this a 5 out of 5!

This is a very good monitor. Plug and Play
This is a very good monitor. Plug and Play, no driver to install. Not sure if that's good or bad, most other companies use drivers for their devices, the pc finds it no problem but assigns a standard generic driver from microsoft from 2006. I am not sure getting the most out of it. it works perfectly though, highest setting, nice bright picture, clear. I think it could be a tiny bit richer, hard to explain, I have a 24" dell monitor and it seems the colors are a bit richer and deeper, tried to work the settings but really couldn't get it exactly how I wanted it. Again very bright and clear. For the money and size it great.

Great product, horrible assembly.
Ok so I never write reviews, but I just thought this might help some people out.I just moved and I was pretty bummed because I got really used to working with an additional monitor, and my new institution didn't have extra monitors lying around like my previous one.So I shopped around eventually found this monitor and it was a great deal for the size. So i ordered 2! (one for home, one for campus)Two days later (thanks to Prime), I get them in the mail, and I start to unbox one and realize I underestimated how big 23" was. And I was impressed that they included the DVI cord, not that I had any need for it, along with the VGA and power cords. The monitor assembly comes in 3 pieces, the monitor, the connector, and the stand. And this is why you only see 4 stars up there. The connector actually has a few pieces but I'll focus on the metal piece that actually connects to the monitor. Originally I tried to just connect it to the monitor while it was all assembled, but it wouldn't just snap in place like it look likes its designed to... To save a lot of time, because you probably dont waste anymore time reading this and my girlfriend want me to go grocery shopping, long story short. I ended up having to take the connecter apart then use A HAMMER and a screwdriver with no bit as a hard small blunt surface to force the metal tabs into place (also you have to take it apart to adjust the tilt).I hoped that was just the problem with the monitor I had purchased, but remember I had two, and unfortunately the second one took as much force to put together.Assembling the rest was a breeze and once I had i hooked up it look amazing next to my little 13" laptop.Overall its a nice monitor (so far) but i think the assembly process might be why the monitor is so affordable.

Quality Display
Acer G236HL Bbd 23-Inch Screen LED-Lit MonitorI recently built a computer for a local business. They wanted a nice monitor to match the beautiful performance and aesthetics. This monitor was their choice.Understand this: The monitor is NOT an IPS-based panel. You will not get true-to-life color reproduction of the sRGB color space. It is a basic TN panel. That does not mean the monitor doesn't have a pretty picture. If you need a budget monitor, this is perfect. I could easily dock a star for the lack of DisplayPort input(s), or something else that's pretty much irrelevant for the average person, but I won't.I prefer IPS panels, DisplayPort inputs, HDMI inputs, etc. But I have been building computers since I was 10 years old, and I do not settle for anything less than the most affordable best...I do not need a $10,000 display...but I'm not afraid to drop $1,000 for one either.I am a fan of Acer LED displays. My wife had a netbook made by Acer, and the display was rich in color. This is the same way. It doesn't look washed out as some others do. All in all, this is worth the money. A 23-inch FHD monitor with DVI and VGA inputs for $100 is not a bad purchase.
