Beautiful, but really bad imitation of fossil
I would’ve love this to work, but the battery came DOA. The company though had a good customer service they offered to take $25 off which was very kind however the new battery didn’t do anything either had to return.

Masculine looking, very short bluetooth range
This Smartwatch says it is a women's watch, but it is very large and masculine looking. The picture shows silver with rose gold edges and stripe, but the one I received did not have the rose gold, which contributed to the masculine look. The band was so large that I would have had to have several pieces removed to make it fit. My husband walked by while I was fiddling with and said "Hey, did you get me a new watch? Great!"Um...yeah it looks like a man's watch. It became his and it fits him perfectly. The app was easy to download and install, and we had no trouble with the setup. If you aren't familiar with smartwatches, this will track your activity like a fitness band and will give you notifications from you smartphone. You assign contacts or apps to a number on the clock face, and when you have a notification from that contact the watch will vibrate and the hands will move to that number. You can also assign the buttons on the watch to do things like play music on your phone. The bluetooth range on this is fairly small, so you have to have your phone nearby. It's great for when you phone is in your pocket on silent, but otherwise it really isn't that useful since you pretty much have to have your phone in your hand for this to work.Overall, it is a decent watch for a man, but perhaps not worth the additional expense for the smart watch capability. If the bluetooth range improved, it would be more functional. I can use my bluetooth speakers from my phone just about anywhere in the house, but for this my phone has to be within a few feet of me.

Large, substantial and traditional looking with all the modern touches
Overall I really like this watch. I'd been holding off on reviewing it because it's so big and I've been wanting to get the links removed, but I just haven't gotten around to it. I easily need three, if not four, links removed. As it currently is, I can slide the watch over my fist, it's that loose! The instructions don't do a great job of sending you to the app to get started. It includes pages upon pages of stuff in a variety of languages. It could be so much simpler and cleaner if it just had one page that said to find EMPORIO ARMANI CONNECT app in the app store. That's literally all you need to know, but they bury the information. If I could rate the instruction manual, I'd give it 1 star. The app is super easy to use and you can program what you want the three buttons on the side of your watch to do. I have them set to show me the date, a different time zone, and set the alarm. You can program the buttons to do other things (like synch with music, take photos, alert you to incoming messages from certain contacts, etc.). It's nice you can customize it to what you frequently want them to do.When you first get the watch, it appears as if the battery is dead. The time does not move. After you pair the watch the hands on the clock face start spinning fast into place (it's really cool to watch). There are tiny little numbers between the hour numbers, which at first I thought were military time, but upon closer inspection realized they are the days of the month. If you set one of your buttons to "Date", pressing the button will make the arms spin to point to the day's date. Cool! Same thing with the time zone option. I work a lot with our office out of Europe, which is 8 hours ahead of me. Pressing the button makes it super quick and easy for me to know what time it is before I try to call them. Right now when they're on a different daylight saving time then us, this is also very helpful. It's a great looking watch. It's heavy and quite substantial. I'm looking forward to getting the links taken out so that it will actually stay in place. That's the main downside because most women (this is a women's watch) will need to have several links taken out.
