I hesitated buying this as I was skeptical just how much vibration an MDF plank could dampen. I live in a small NYC condo and the space constraints require me to lay out my audio gear in a seriously suboptimal arrangement with my speakers inside a cabinet that my turntable sits on. When I played records in this setup previously, raising the volume past around 35-40% would cause vibrations to be picked up by the cartridge, dramatically degrading overall sound quality. I finally bought this thing on Black Friday, and holy wow.... I don't know what kind of spring/suspension secret sauce Fluance put into this, but it's definitely not just some MDF plank. I can now blast my music at high volumes and I can't feel vibrations on the turntable plinth... at all. It's really quite remarkable. For any city dwellers whose space constraints are creating undesirable feedback issues: Get. This. Item. Did I mention how it's also really pretty? I got the glossy piano black version and the finish is incredible. Fits right in with my REL subwoofer.

Immediate improvement in bass articulation and quickness. It certainly absorbs vibrations very well, but the improvement in bass was immediately apparent. Worth the money.

I recently moved into a new house with a crawlspace, and discovered that my records were skipping every time I walked past the turntable. My old house was on a slab so I did not have this problem, and it was vexing me tremendously. I have a Fluance RT82, so I decided to try this matching isolation stand. Just by looking at it, you wouldn’t think it does a thing, but it actually solved the problem. I can walk past the turntable without having to tiptoe, and no more egregious skips. Worth the investment in my opinion.

It does help in my case as my setup requires close proximity of my turntable to the subwoofer. Arrived well packaged, the feet are adjustable and is where the magic happens. Given other options out there I think this is good value for the money.

The base is very well made and easy to level. But the slightest steps in my room made the records skip. I previously had an Aurelex isolation base with shims and I ultimately ended up going back to that. I returned the Fluance isolation base as it did not work for me. It’s a fine piece. Just didn’t work out for me like I had hoped.

We bought this after moving into a new place with wood floors and realizing when we put toddler ran around or danced to music our records would skip. We tried many other things to help lessen the vibration that did next to nothing. Once we got this no problem! Dance parties, falling on the floor, jumping off the couch- no scratching! Yay! Definitely worth the cost.

Wow does this make a difference. Records continously skipped or tone arm jostled if my kids walked by while I was listening to records. Kept putting off buying this thinking it wouldn't make a noticeable difference in the playing, but I was wrong. I wish I bought this 3 years ago when I bought my Fluance turntable. It also looks gorgeous underneath my player. Perfect combo.

This is a great platform for my record deck. The built-in bubble allows you to make sure it is level. The dark gloss wood finish makes for a smart look.

I’m really impressed with this! It looks sleek and, more importantly, it actually works. I picked it up to eliminate skips from foot traffic near my turntable, and it solved the problem instantly. If you need a reliable isolation base, I highly recommend this one!
