Does anyone have any idea what size cable gland is needed?

The gland screw thread is the same diameter as the hole in a standard 13amp wall pattress. I think that is 20mm

Can i use this to replace my normal house 13amp socket? I intend to put a 16amp plug on my welder as the 13amp plug fuse kept blowing.

This socket is rated at 16A current capacity, but does not have a fuse. Assuming you want to replace a standard 13A socket on a ring main, the only fuse (or breaker) in the circuit will be on the main board which will be 30A. Welding equipment can typically be 50-200 amp I wouldn't do it!

Will it accept 10mm section cable
