It's an official product and works exactly as intended!
Works with every 3.5mm line in mic I've tested it on, works as intended.

Disappointing upsell
For the price of the original camera it should come with a mic adapter.Now I've got this attachment I can now access the mic input level which is greyed out without external mic....but sadly it only allows max of -18dB, so input still too loud and distorting.Insta 360 starts to seem a bit pointless when phone recording is better.

Kind of a necessity if you want to record audio on the Insta360 x4
Its quite good however can not use the usb c for audio only the trs connection
