I needed to buy a couple of f-connectors to add a satellite feed to another room and couldn't find any regular screw-on connectors that I liked the looked of. Whilst searching I stumbled across this product which looked interesting but seemed a bit pricey for what I needed. HOW WRONG WAS I???This makes terminating satellite cable sooo much easier and quicker than the usual method of trying, whilst defying gravity not to fall off the ladder, to strip cable using a stanley knife, cut it to the right length, screw the f-connector on the cable and the apply waterproofing tape to it. Admittedly, it took a couple of attempts to understand exactly how the connection is made (I wondered why all the strands of cable screening got cut off during the stripping process) but the penny eventually dropped and I realised the crimping action forces the outer part of the connector down between the screening and outer pvc sheathing to make contact with it. Perfect!I only wish I'd known about this product years ago. The speed and benefit of using it far outweighs the cost of the connectors. Highly recommended.

Having read customer revues I purchased a Preciva a coax cable compression kit but I found that the instructions enclosed were a little misleading in whhat you have to do to ensure a proper connection .I then proceded to read the enclosed instructions before even attempting to use the stripping tool understandin how to use the stripping tool I proceeded to make my first attempt.The stripping tool is excellent and and strips off the correct amount of sleeving needed with out the need of a stanley knife or cutting tools or damaging the copper core.After reading the instructions once more before making my first attempt at fitting an F coax, but it didn't work I re-read the intructions again and made several more attempts to fit an F connector but it still wouldn't crimm the cable onto the connector, until I found that you need to force the plastic sleeving around the inner wire into the plastic sleeve on the inside of the connector, you should just be able to see the end of the cable sleeve, it took 12 attempts to get the cable to fit correctly and secured.Once I found the correct way I couldn't fault either of the tools an excellent purchase.

I had dodgy TV signals from my Loftbox due to my poor termination of F Type plugs; both poor signal strength and cables easily pulling out. This unit has fixed all that.OK; a couple of things. Practice the wire-stripping on a piece of spare cable first. Clip the wire cutter round the cable then see how many twists (turns) you need to get the perfect cut; in my case just over 4. If you use too few, the dielectric will not have been cut through. If you use too many, the whole thing will have been cut through. Get it right and the (1) outside sheath and dielectric is cut-off then (2) the outside insulation and inside screen is cut leaving just the right amount of dielectric remaining all in one operation. Then carefully insert the cable into the connector and push in (twist if necessary) until the dielectric just starts to show inside. Stop now. If there is excessive central conductor showing then shorten it, pop the plug into the crimper and squeeze. Now trim the central conductor. The result is a physically secure connection and good signal. so simple, so good.

Tool and connectors feel very robust and works well if you can de-cipher the instructions. The connectors are really only for cable sizes with a diameter of 6mm and above. They will not work as well on the smaller 5mm twin cable (shotgun cable) frequently used for Freesat / Sky installations.The instruction are on a small scrap of paper and read like a very bad translation from another language. It was not clear from the instructions how to change the cable size insert (the orange block with 4 cut outs shown on the picture). In the end I found out it was just very stiff to initially slide out, and needed the help of a hammer. The instructions imply there is something marked with an arrow that needs to be pressed with the enclosed Allen key - this is not the case. The instructions also claim the position of the stripping blades can be changed but again the instructions have no clear instructions for doing this, and it looks to me as if the stripping tool may need to be dismantled to achieve this.So if you need to use this kit using the default setup as it arrives then it is very good. However, if you need to change anything then prepare for spending some time to work out how to configure the stripping tool to meet your needs.

Excellent product

So I received this kit to attach an F connector that I had cut off in order to move the Virgin Media entry point into my house.As per some other reviews, it just wouldn’t work at all and the connector wouldn’t stay on after using to tool.The supplier has tried to explain how to avoid this in the pictures but it isn’t immediate obvious.So my advice is as follows:1) There is an inner metal ring in the F connector. You are NOT aiming to push the cable through this tiny ring. That’s the first thing I struggled with.2) The aim is that when you push the cable in to the connector. The cable jacket (the black covering in my case) needs to be pushed so it goes around the inner metal ring, not through it. The metal ring will effectively separate the cable jacket and the sheathing/dielectric once you push the cable in correctly.3) the fun doesn’t stop here. It’s almost impossible to push the cable in, in the way that’s required. I ruined several connectors trying to do this.I then came across a you tube video where someone had posted in the comments that everyone is doing it wrong, including the chap in the video.Most of the videos online show you how to use the tools but every one I watched tells you to expose the dielectric by cutting off the outer cable jacket which exposes the shielding/strands. They then tell you to move these strands out of the way by pushing them down and around the cable jacket, so they are out of the way. If you do this it becomes near impossible to push the cable in so the inner ring can separate the outer jacket and the shielding.4) the way to do it is simple. Once you have cut off the outer cable jacket and exposed the shielding and dielectric just go ahead and push the cable into the connector. Don’t mess with the shielding. You will need to use some twisting and some force but it will definitely through.I wore some gloves when doing this as pushing the cable in creates quite a lot of friction.It’s easy when you know how.

Would be five stars if it gave an equal selection of both types of F type co axial compression connectors WF63/65 and WF100

Very fast shipping! Tool to put connector on very well built! The tool to strip back the coax cable had a little trouble cutting the coax cable tip off but the coax stripper part worked very well... the tip was a little hard to push on to the coax cable and I waisted the tip as it fell off the first attempt but second was successful... overall very happy with it

Questo non è certo un attrezzo che uno ha in un normale laboratori, e solo uno psicopatico come me può averlo, ma certi lavori senza sono impossibili.Crimpare questi spinotti senza un oggetto del genere, è davvero difficile con una normale crimpatrice, e mi sono stufato alla seconda volta che ci ho provato, e me la sono comprata.Ovviamente su di lei c'è poco da dire, ma sul kit è ottimo dire che c'è uno spellafili di qualità incluso nel prezzo, e tanti spinottini, che non fanno mai male.Ovviamente non funziona solo con i suoi, ma anche con altri modelli...tipo i centinaia che avevo già io da parte.I cavi crimpati, sono tutt'altra cose rispetto quelli avvitati, ricordatevelo.
