I like this device. It seems to sharpen knives effectively. I also have another device by another brand that is a good brand name and cost $200. I think this device works just as well if not better.

The media could not be loaded. What I like the most is that it’s very quiet when operating. The power cord being at least 3ft long is very helpful also. The rubber feet also help it from slipping which is great. The clip on magnetic tray that catches the fillings is a great idea also very easy to clean. It’s very small and stable. The packaging was neat and the instructions were simple to understand. Overall great product.

A little heavy for something small. Short cable.

Would do 5 stars but the last wheel on the polishing side is messed up, it sharpens really well.

The media could not be loaded. We are definitely pleased with this knife sharpener. Impressed actually. I feel like it's fairly quiet while running.For our normal kitchen knives we used fine and polish and brought them back to life, better than brand new.We also sharpened some old knives (50+ yr old and never properly sharpened). They were pretty blunt. We used all 3 grits on the old knife and would slice right through paper with barely any weigh.Only took a few minutes, if that, to sharpen them back up.

We've tried several other knife sharpeners but hadn't found one that gave our knives a razor sharp edge. We have a set of high quality kitchen and steak knives purchased years ago. Like all knives, they do need sharpened from time to time. There's nothing better than a sharp knife that cuts through a steak like butter. All of the electric sharpeners we've tried previously actually seemed to dull the knives and left visible grind marks on blades, even after running them through the polishing stage multiple times. As such, we typically just sharpened them manually with a ceramic sharpening rod. One day our sharpening rod fell on the tile floor and shattered, so we decided to take a chance on this sharpener. It took a few minutes to get the hang of pulling the knife through at a steady pace, but the knife guides made it easy to keep everything lined up with the sharpening wheels. After a few pulls through all three stages, we were amazed by the edge it put on the blade! I was able to sharpen all of our kitchen knives, steak knives, and my pocket knife in about a tenth of the time it would have taken with a sharpening rod. I was so excited that I wanted to sharpen everything within reach. Ultimately, my wife drew the line when I asked her if I could sharpen the butter knife...

The blades are not aligned. One side seems ok but the other side is ruining the bevel edge on my expensive knives. Never by less expensive again. Fake reports ruin the experience of Amazon Prime.
