Wonderful and infromative
As with all Traceys books this is so well researched and written. I am constantly surprised by the records and information that has survived time.

Excellent and enjoyable read
This is an excellent account of the joint histories of Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I, who barely knew her mother but was profoundly influenced by her character and circumstances, and by the treatment she received at the hands of Henry VIII. The book is well researched, but is also highly readable. I was taken by surprise reading the Kindle version when it appeared to stop suddenly when it was only about 60% read, due to the extensive notes that formed the rest of the book. But it is a testament to the enjoyability of the text that I wanted it to continue even after the history was concluded! Strongly recommended for anyone with an interest in these two important women in English history and the circumstances that influenced them both.

Tracy makes Tudor history come to life!
I really enjoyed this book. I absolutely love Tudor history and Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I are two figures I am particularly interested in, so I knew I was going to enjoy it.Tracy has so much knowledge and insight on these two extraordinary women and yet manages to make it so accessible, meaning whether you know a lot about their history or are delving into it for the first time, you’ll be able to follow the timeline and information she gives you.A wonderful book and one I’m sure I’ll be reading again.

Tracy's Best Yet
This really is a triumph! Focusing on England's most effective leader since the days of Edward the Confessor as someone completing the Anne Boleyn project is masterful and answers many questions about Elizabeth's approach. That's not to say Queen Elizabeth is presented as a saint without flaws or as a duplicate of Queen Anne, this is a good read but academically excellent as you might expect. Whether Anne could have achieved the first stages of creating the UK is also another question but it is undoubtedly a major contribution from Elizabeth that lead to one of world's most successful state in it's time. Without Elizabeth there would have been no Victorian Age. This is a lucid and facinating account and I really enjoyed it.

Excellent Book
I have really enjoyed this book. Anne Boleyn has always been one of my favourites and it has been a joy to read just how Elizabeth kept her mother in a prominent place in this country's mind.Elizabeth I was a great monarch at a time when this country needed that most.

What's missing
I am struggling a little - the history is excellent but some is missing. Tracey makes a lot of the Boleyn family rightly, but Mary, Anne's sister, is dismissed in a sentence or two, She was Henry's mistress before Anne came on the scene and bore his child. Then we gloss over the other Queens in a word or two when there are 4 or 5 pages on the religious impact of the Reformation. The cleverest Queen, Anne of Cleves is dismissed in a paragraph. It is the inconsistency that bothers me Some things are covered in depth and others glosed over. But I am only a quarter of the way through (Catherine Howard has just been decpiatated) so things may get better.

Read this in one sitting
I absolutely LOVE Tracy Borman - she is one of my all time favourite historians; and Anne Boleyn is my favourite historical figure, so naturally I was very excited to read this. I attended Tracy's talk on this book and I was verysurprised when she said that no one had written a book about Anne and Elizabeth together before. Strange given that they were mother and daughter! It was so well written and meticulously researched. To read about how Anne and Elizabeth felt about each other and ways they showed their love for each other was so informative. I felt like I've learnt so much more about the relationship between these two formidable women

Great!
I didn’t think the book would be good quality, just because of the price, but it’s great quality! And it’s a lot of pages which i think is good. Totally worth the money!! There’s even some pictures in it! I recommend !!

Fantastic book about two of my favorite people!
I heard Tracy's interview on my favorite podcast, Noble Blood. A disclaimer: I'm a Tudor enthusiast. That being said, my already-excited ears perked up even more when I heard both Anne and Elizabeth I were the subjects. What a brilliant idea to intertwine their stories, and perfectly executed. I couldn't put it down. While I am no scholar, I really thought I'd heard it all about both women, but I found several lovely nuggets of new [to me] information, and I really enjoyed reading about the bits I already knew. Bravo. My favorite part was how Anne's GOOD traits were highlighted, alongside the bad. Really well done.

Marvelous addition to my own knowledge
Many know of my personal fascination with Elizabeth 1 and her mother Anne Boleyn. This book has lived up its "advertisement" and is the best treatment of Queen Anne I have ever read.I wish that when I wrote my major paper on Elizabeth as the "Supreme Head of the Church" that such information had been available. Highly Recommended 5/5

A DIFFERENT VIEW OF MOTHER AND DAUGHTER
This was a new way to view the lives of Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth I. I was able to finish the book in two days because it was so hard to put down.
