This product was perfect for converting my wood burning patio pit table to gas. I primarily purchased it because of its size and price. Upon its arrival, I was surprised at the quality and attention to detail - both very good. I also converted it to natural gas. The process was simple and everything worked as planned when I fired it up.

This is a must have if you have the Outland fire pit and a natural gas connection. The conversion was easy and the instructions very clear. It takes about 20 minutes to install this kit. I was able to convert mine and never have to worry about propane. You can add an additional hose without too much worry about pressure drop, but adding more than one additional and the fire gets weaker. I purchased the fire pit because this kit was available and I am glad I did, it has worked perfectly all summer!

Simple, 6 screws and a hose swap. Easily works now with the quick disconnect into my natural gas grille line for unlimited hours of warmth without worrying about propane. Downside, firebowl obviously not portable any longer other than the length of the included 12 foot hose. Thats the tradeoff. But thats to be expected.

This kit is a bit on the pricey side for what you get, but it was easy to install. I did have to purchase a 1/2" to 3/8" reducing male to male coupler to get the quick connect valve to mate to the connection on my house. If you have to buy an adapter, remember that pipe is measured by its inside diameter, not it's outside diameter. I am a bit disappointed by the lesser heat output of NG, but that is just a consequence of using natural gas rather than propane, it doesn't burn as hot. Not the fault of this kit. I'd say it runs full power about the equivalent of half power on propane, but, I was emptying 20lb propane tanks in 6 hours before. Not a real tenable situation at $20 per refill!

Liked the simple installation. The flame put out with the natural gas supply is considerably lower than with the propane feed. I would say it is insufficient and may be putting the propane feed back on if I can't improve it.

The product is great. Instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. I hooked this up in about 20 minutes to the cypress 863 and it was simple. I first tested propane, it burned hot, the valve hissed differently at different settings. The natural gas burns hot, smells cleaner and has a slight more sound of hissing. In conclusion: the firepit works to satisfactory on propane or natural gas. I prefer the natural gas because this is on a composite deck, rooftop patio and I dont want to carry propane jugs through the house. My only wish was that the hose was longer for my application. (I have a 24' on order) Also to mention, the ground underneath the cypress 863 is not even warm to the touch after 20 minutes of running the firepit. Great purchase, I am thrilled! Outland Firebowl seems to be a quality product. Give me a thumbs up if this helps please. Tools needed: 7mm wrench (or crescent wrench) Medium phillips screwdriver Another crescent wrench or channel locks to tighten gas line to valve. Optional: teflon tape, although it is not required, I prefer to use it.

Good performanc- the NG flame on high is equivalent to the LP flame on medium . NG is cheap and convenient compared to LP but with a bit lower therms and flame size.

As other reviews have said, flame output is severely reduced compared to propane. This makes the fire pit worthless and the adapter a waste of time and money.

This kit works great if you have natural gas to wherever you use your fire bowl and don't like refilling propane tanks. Keep in mind that NG burns at half the Btu's so if that you want a roaring fire, you have to use propane. NG burns hot enough for us so we happy with it. It is on the pricey side but I guess that's the price of convenience. The customer service is top notch as I ordered the wrong kit and they took it back no problem. I would recommend this kit, as a gas fitter myself as I find the quality as good as you can get.

Purchased the 863 Cyprus firebowl a couple years ago, and just switched out to this natural gas line and put a splitter on the natural gas outlet here on the patio so I can run this and the bbq simultaneously if I like. I used the firebowl for camping predominantly, and the propane worked great for that but now that I'm not camping much at all it's got a permanent spot on my patio. So made sense to switch out to this setup! Easy & simple change took about 15 minutes and works perfectly. Can change it back to the 12' propane line if we go camping in 10-15 minutes. Recommended!

This was one of the better conversion kits I have bought to convert a propane device to natural gas. It seemed a bit pricey but in the end I think it is worth the cost. It took only about 20 to 30 minutes to install after I had read the instructions and assembled the required tools. But that assumes you already have a quick connect NG attachment on your house gas line. The kit comes with such a coupling for you to install but I did not need it as I am using an existing quick connect coupler that I had installed for my NG BBQ. The parts are all top quality and the instructions are good with just enough photos to keep you from making any major mistake. One tip- install the conversion kit before you put the lava rocks in the fire bowl. My only recommendation for improvement would be to include a 20 foot NG hose to give the user more flexibility on placement. I should add that I am not an experienced mechanic or particularly talented for this type of install.

If you will always use your fire bowl near the same outlet as your natural gas BBQ then get this kit and save the hassle of always filling a propane tank. What you get is a new value with the correct office for natural gas which operates at a different pressure and has a lower density than propane. The instructions were clear and It was very easy to convert the fuel line over to natural gas. This investment might save you money in the long run but it will limit where you can use your fire pit as it must now be 12 feet from a has outlet. PS. I recommend disconnecting the gas hose when not in use as it seems to leak a very small amount is gas from the connector. It is not a safety concern it just stinks a bit.

Love the Outland fire bowl along with the natural gas conversion kit! Great value for the money and the quality is#1!! Easy to install and performed all the required leak tests. We really like the portability of the fire bowl and it does not take up a lot of room to store. Ours fits under the foot stool of our patio set. Out of sight when not in use!
