Best curry ever. Seriously! Add a little coconut sugar and cook with Japanese sweet potatoes and it’s amazing!

I was an ESL teacher in Thailand for a year and a half. I fell in love with Thai food—and rightfully so! So happy to see this on Amazon at a reasonable price. If you are new to Thai food I highly recommend trying the yellow curry or masman first. They’re more mild than the green, red, and Penang curry. As for the other reviews stating it’s spicy or salty… in my opinion, these are quite mild. I added bird chilies to mine to make the spice level more on par with what I’d get with street food or small Mom and Pop roadside restaurants. Lobo is completely authentic, like other reviews said—what you’d see in-stores in Thailand everywhere—even 7-11s or stuffed into street food vendors’ food carts as ingredients. As for the saltiness, I disagree—add the correct amount of coconut milk/cream (try aroy-d coconut milk for authenticity—also fairly cheap on Amazon) that is mentioned in English on that package and you’ll be fine. Each paste packet is enough to serve 4 (served with rice). Masman curry I have had was usually served with just onions, potatoes, and chicken; Yellow curry with chicken, potato, onion, and large hunks of tomato. Green curry with thai eggplant (normal eggplant or zucchini will make a good substitute), a fried egg or a soft boiled egg, and chicken. Red and Penang curries seemed more interchangeable with chicken/fish. All had extra bird chilies added in, haha, again, so I disagree this is “spicy” for Thai food on its own. Cilantro for garnish. [Edit: when I say chicken: bone-in, skin-on thighs/dark meat preferred] Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! I could literally eat yellow, green, and masman curry every single week and not get sick of it, it’s just so delicious… and healthy! (Low carb, low on the glycemic index)

I'm usually skeptical about packaged curry products because they either have MSG as well as other unnecessary ingredients, but more so they are loaded with sodium which makes the curry nearly inedible This, on the other hand, has a nice balance of salt, fire, aromatics and makes in to a delish curry dinner. Just add veggies and protein and bam...tastebuds get ready!
