Best Masala Dabba
This is just a lovely Masala Dabba. I spent weeks comparing masala dabba's on the Web. This one kept standing out so I finally ordered it. I'm very glad I did. The quality is very high,.. the lids of both the main dabba and all of the small containers fit so perfectly and are very smooth to get on and off. I was so happy to see how pretty and well made the Three Sisters Masala Dabba was, that I immediately ordered another one. When my daughter saw it, she fell in love so I ordered one for her too.Im very happy with this purchase. Estella

Poor quality product in bad packaging
The cardboard box it came in is barely thicker than paper and poorly constructed. The box was beat up and had been taped a few times which gave the feeling it was used. Given the $75 price tag, I expect better packaging. The steel box itself was ok but the clear plastic lids are horrible. Two of them are badly scratched and the main box lid too has blemishes. The small boxes lids dont close properly, some tighter than others and a couple of lids only fit on some boxes and not on others...Returning this item as it is way over priced for the quality offered.

Very nice, love the lids
It is a very nice set. The lids are clear plastic and they keep the spices separate. I like that they all have the spice names on them, but if you have different spices it wouldn’t really matter. I read some reviews that they didn’t think the lids were sturdy? Mine are. They are thick-ish plastic. I have a few spices in other containers because they are too big to fit or I have a lot of. Basically this is a nice set.

Very Happy with this Spice Box
I was lucky enough to find this 8" masala dabba from The Three Sisters on sale. I wanted a smaller dabba with lots of compartments. This one perfectly fits the bill. The lids to the canisters fit nicely and aren't too snug, although the lid to the entire dabba is a little on the tight side. I'm including a photo of the canisters showing what the labels look like. I used the same spices as labeled, except for the ginger. For that canister I used fenugreek leaves instead.

Not worth it, has plastic inside.
I really wanted to like this since I had my eye on it for a while. The middle container had a plastic coating inside and some of the containers caps were really tight which is impractical for daily use and the glass had a few scratches on it. However, the quality of steel seemed good and sturdy. I made an exception to the names of spices etched on the containers since with South Indian cooking we use different spices but the plastic inside the jar was the last straw. Returned it. Edit : I bought a similar one for $50 from Etsy and it is easy to use and no plastic inside the jars :)

A Different Masala Dabba
What is described is a spice box containing lided containers. What was sent was a spice box with open, uncovered containers, which can easily spill into one another when moving the box around. It functions well and the overall quality is good. The steel is heavy enough to withstand heavy use. It's slightly larger than must others, but still easy to use. The containers are taller than the standard masala dabba and hold a good quantity of spices. For better or worse, the labels are engraved on each container, which may limit individual creativity as far as the contents. But in spite of it being a quality product, it's just not what is described.

Just had to have it!
It was time to retire my poor old World Market seven compartment masala dabba & upgrade to this shiny new one with twelve...count 'em!...twelve compartments, each one with it's very own lid & a real spoon! (ooooooooooh!) Hey, I've been using this teeny tiny pink plastic spoon from a box of Sweet 'n' Low. Purchased the model without the spices. This box was a little pricey even without the spices, but there's room for five more of my favorites. Very much appreciated the "Dos and Don'ts" sheet, especially the suggestion not to put the lids in the water to wash them! (a lesson learned the hard way with my old masala dabba). This is heavy gauge stainless steel & looks great on the counter. Thanks Three Sisters!

Can’t return it, and doesn’t contain lids like it said it did
Looks good and sturdy, but I opted for this one because it said each canister had lids. “Each canister has its own transparent lid to preserve the quality of the spices.” - from the description. I paid extra for this, if I knew it didn’t come with lids, I would have probably bought a cheaper model. Turn out I can’t return it either, and don’t know how to contact seller.
