This is a good, comprehensive kit for the smaller, more intricate elements of wood carving. The set is as described and as shown in the listing, with steel blades set into wooden handles and a crimped steel collar. They are supplied in a handy and well-made synthetic canvas case which has a small amount of spare room should you need to add a knife or two. There's a tiny whetstone supplied, and a pair of safety gloves that surprisingly fit my small hands (glove size 7) very well, so they would probably not work for people with larger hands. I have to say this set is not top-line quality, but one wouldn't expect that when you're getting 12 knives pluss accessories for £15.99, when some of the better woodcarving knives are more than that per knife! But for someone trying out woodcarving, or with a small project in mind, I'd recommend this set. It would make a great gift, too, for someone 'crafty'.

These are really good for very close intricate carving, don’t be fooled by the price as they are very sharp and hold a decent edge quite well. I would usually pay more than three or four times as much for one knife than these are for the set and I’ve used several of them on little pieces I’ve been doing with really good results. I’m really impressed with everything about them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them especially to a carving beginner 👍👍😁😁😁

I recently preparing to do some wood printing for my artwork, I bought this carving kit and it is really good, it comes with a glove also although I am not using it . I would say if you are doing some craft work , this would be really recommended!
