A great bit of kit
I bought this for my 9-year-old who is enjoying electronics at school. It’s a great bit of kit – easy and fun to clip together and lots of possible circuits to experiment with. Two of the LED parts didn’t work in my original set, but the seller was very prompt and helpful in sending us a new set which worked perfectly. Thank you!

Perfect toys
My nephews had no problem building any of the designs out of this STEM toys. The directions seemed easy enough to follow and they enjoyed it. Hopefully it will keep them engaged for some time to come.A perfect gift for children who like DIY.

Exploring Electricity
The media could not be loaded. This is a great set for introducing electricity in a child safe/accessible way.You don't get a huge number of pieces but enough to make the few suggested circuits. I did find some of the pieces didn't align perfectly and you therefore couldn't click them into place. It was good fun and enjoyed by my 6 year old who is just beginning her learning of electricity.

Lack of explanation but lots of problem solving
My 7 year old absolutely loves this set although now he's had it a few months, the novelty has worn off a bit. The idea is you create a circuit to be able to switch on lights and a fan. There are not a lot of pieces to the set but I think this is good as a starter because it better helps to understand how circuits work and involves a lot of problem solving if you find a light isn't switching on (and the fact the booklet doesn't actually tell you how it works i.e. you need the pieces the right way round). I love how the pieces basically have poppers on them so it's very easy for smaller hands to connect the pieces together and there is a cover for the battery pack so they can still see them as it's clear but stops them removing them. I liked that there were various different circuits to try building in the booklet but most of the time my son just makes his own. Over the last few months we've used it, some of them raised connectors have broken off the base board and the covers on the fan have come off and it seemed like the light strips in the fan also broke as it stopped lighting up. We still have the coloured light parts though so he can use the fibre optic and tube. I'm not a huge fan of that connector though to hold the fibre optic/tube as it's not stable and the height/weight of the pieces just makes them want to tilt/fall. Also batteries are not included - 3 x AA needed. That said though, it's a great way to introduce them to circuits and see fun results from it instantly.

Experiment with circuits
This is a brilliant toy for experimenting and learning about circuits. My 6 year old was fascinated with this kit and powered though the booklet putting each project together by himself, as the instructions are very clear, and have pictures. He had to put all the sections together in the right order and have everything in correct orientation, so he had troubleshooting practice too.The main issue I have with the kit is there are no explanations in the booklet, so although there are instructions on how to build the various circuits, there is nowhere that explain how circuits work. So my son was full of questions, which only got answered because I know a lot about how circuits work already. It is a really fab kit, with easy to pop together pieces. Great for exploring circuits

Fun for experimenting
The media could not be loaded. My 8 year old son has been looking at electronics at school and wanted to continue learning at home. This set is fantastic for this. From the outside the box doesn't look particularly impressive but upon opening I was amazed by how good quality the pieces are. There is a base board to work on and many components that can be interchanged to make different curcuits. The instruction booklet is not very helpful, with very little English writing. But my son was able to look at the diagrams and enjoyed experimenting. The circuits are powered through a battery pack. 3 AAs are needed which are not included.Overall I'm quite impressed and my son is enjoying learning.

Great little kit with lots of components and projects to build
A brilliant little starter electronics kit for primary school aged children/early secondary. I bought this for my 10 year old son and he was delighted. It comes with 17 different parts and 8 different projects to build, complete with an instruction manual. The slight disappointments were the crease of the lid was torn on the inside, and some of the fibre optic lights were loose in the box and had become detached from the main part. Also, batteries aren’t included. I remember for many years we went through a spate of having batteries included with most items, and now for some reason they aren’t, which can be a little frustrating. However, apart from those minor issues, it looks like a good kit and ideal for teaching basic electronics to inquisitive children. Recommended.
