Does the job!
Works for the most common use case: messing up a job involving threaded pipe. You could pay hundreds for a kit that covers every common residential pipe size, or buy this for the cost of a sandwich and be able to save yourself from mistakes made on the most common pipe sizes from 3/8"-3/4" or so.In my case, I tried to untwist a shower head and the whole arm broke off. Worked like a charm. If you're going deep into a wall, you can even fit a deep hex socket around it (not sure what size, I didn't check, but I'd guess around 24mm or so).

I wish I'd had this 10 years ago!
This is a tool I wish I'd had when I was trying to replace a toilet water supply hose about 10 years ago... long story short, the pipe that the cutoff valve was connected to snapped off in the tee with the supply pipe in the wall when I tried to disconnect the flex hose line, resulting in a 100psi jet of water in my bathroom. After racing to shut off the house water supply, I then had to figure out how to remove the threaded pipe end that was left behind in the tee before I could attach a new nipple and shutoff valve so we could restore water to the rest of the house. I managed to eventually get that remaining bit out with some tedious plier work, but if I'd had this handy reverse-threaded pipe extractor tool, I would have saved myself at least an hour of painstaking work! I haven't actually had to use this tool yet, but it's just like a stripped screw extractor and I have no doubt that it will work just as well. It seems to be of solid construction; and at the price (under $10 last time I checked) it sells for it would be well worth that cost if it simplifies even one stuck pipe removal job. The only downside I see is that the packaging is entirely in Chinese(?) and the sizes in metric, so if you have no idea how to use one of these and don't think to go check the images in the Amazon product listing, you'd find yourself a bit stuck. Fortunately, it's not that difficult to figure out how to use, and regarding sizing I figure you can just stick each end in your pipe stub to evaluate which one is right to use without actually measuring anything. Hopefully I won't actually have to ever use this, but it's great to know I have it in my toolkit as "insurance" in the event of another water pipe disaster!

Great tool
This is one of those tools that you hope not to need very often but when you do need it if you dont have it you wished you did. I admit that I dont get stripped screw very often but when I do I really wish I had this tool before. Since getting this tool set I have only had the change to try it once and it worked great. It gripped the screw easily and it came right out. It comes with a set of tools for different size screws. So far it seems like a great tool to have when you need it. I am very happy with it and would get it again.

Absolute Garbage
Do not buy this product! The bits did not function how they were supposed to at all, the drill bit side was terrible for drilling even a shallow hole, and the "gripper" side did almost nothing at all. Regardless of the what was advertised, the set only came with 3 sizes of bits. Most frustrating waste of money on a tool I think I have ever experienced. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would.

A simple yet effective tool
This is a solidly built pipe extractor. It is a very simple tool to use. It is reverse threaded to engage the inside of the broken or stuck pipe via friction (as opposed to using threads) so it embeds forcibly into the pipe in the same direction (counterclockwise) that will allow the pipe to unthread. It has two tapered ends that will allow you to remove pipes ranging from 11mm to 23mm (roughly 1/2" to 1")I immediately lost the handle that inserts into the tool for hand use, but that's not such a big deal because typically you will need to use a wrench on the hexagonal center for adequate leverage.Bottom line: Good price on a tool every DIY plumber needs to have in their kit.

Works on stripped screws
I was leary to know if these would actually work on stripped screws, but they do and they come with multiple sizes. These have helped in multiple instances!
