Does exactly what it should do - shreds paper, card stock and credit cards - and does it easily. The small container below the shredder fills quickly if you're using this on a daily basis, so just a heads up about that. To minimize the mess caused by emptying it, I lined the container with a small trash bag - it doesn't impede the operation of the shredder at all. (The shredder head has to come in contact with a specific piece of the container to operate, so don't use a thick bag.) I purchased shredder maintenance sheets (also called shredder cleaning sheets) to use once a month or so, to keep the blades sharp and lubricated - I recommend keeping them on hand if you're a heavy shredder like I am.Update: 1 year later, still going strong!Recently moved in with someone who is a bit of a paper hoarder - or was, until we started shredding. Long story made short: man living alone with hectic job schedule never threw any paper away - so receipts, bills, etc - all kept for over 5 years and just piled into bags and left sitting. Over the course of several weeks, he sorted through it to be sure it was all trash, and I started shredding. I ended up with EIGHT 33-gallon trash bags full of shredded paper. This little shredder powered through it all, even after being over a year old!Tips: You have to give this thing a break now and then, and don't overload it. It's not a commercial shredder and can only take up to 8 sheets at a time - and I've found 8 sheets is often too much, so I don't do more than 3-4 sheets at one time.Buy the Amazon Basics Shredder Lubricating/Cleaning sheets & run one of them through the shredder after you empty it 2-3 times to keep the blades sharp & running smoothly.For an inexpensive shredder, this has been a great addition to my home office, and turned out to be a real workhorse, which I wasn't expecting. Definitely recommended.

This shredder is much faster than my previous shredder. It doesn't do quite as many pages at one time as my old shredder, but is little power house. It doesn't take up much space and is perfect for my general household shredding.

Got it 2023. I get a dozen or so boxes from web activity every month or so. I strip them 6 or 8 inches wide, and feed them to this thing. I bring it out every 3 months or so and use them to make bags of worm or mushroom bedding, or for creating yard soil. The first thing to go was the switch. Lasted almost a year, now it just runs all time, though it will run forward and backward. These days it only runs about 20-30 min. Fills the bin about twice, then overheats and stops. Let it sit a couple hours and go again.

Worked for what we needed it for and use every time we need to with confidential papers and all. Jam resistant and assembled quickly as you don’t need much to know. Good size to store anywhere even over a dresser. Thick enough and you can add up to 8 pieces of paper.

Works great. I've only had it couple weeks so I don't know how long it will last at 20 bucks, but it works great doesn't jam or overheat if your careful.

Love it so far. This is my 3rd shredder. The first one I got was a more expensive brand and it lasted a long time until it jammed one day and broke. My 2nd one was awful. It didn’t not chew the paper smoothly and didn’t last long. Kept jamming. Then finally died after a jam. This new one is a lot better than my last one! It chews the paper smoothly. It is loud, but that’s ok. For the price is it amazing. It even chewed up a credit card nicely. I ordered my parents one too.

What a great machine!! It is very sturdy, functions well and delivers on its promises! It's also the perfect size for the home office. Believe me when I tell you, I researched the personal shredder world before purchasing this and what a world that is! You end up not knowing what to buy, but with this product, you will have no worries. Just stop the search and buy this.

Great shredder for a terrific price! It hasn't jammed or over heated yet but I am being cautious after killing my previous shredder! All seems great with this one!
