Professional quality wireless microphones that are easy to set up and use
The Shure MoveMic receiver and microphone set is an ideal companion for a high-end mirrorless camera such as the Canon R6. The receiver sits within a cold shoe – this can be the flashgun shoe on top of the camera, as shown in my photograph, with the 3.5 mm lead connecting to the camera’s microphone socket. The key feature of this device is that the two microphones connect easily to the receiver. I just charged the microphone case and the receiver overnight prior to use, pressed the power button on each microphone to put it into pairing mode and had no difficulty pairing the two microphones. Both microphones are identical in appearance. However, one links to Channel 1 and the other to Channel 2. The identity of each microphone becomes clear when setting the levels. To do this, you need to go to the home screen of the receiver and then go into audio settings. This is achieved by pressing the X button to go upwards through the manuals and then using the controller button on the right to navigate to the desired value. By default, the MoveMic receiver is set to Line output, which gives a very loud -6 dB and forced me to use the lowest microphone volume on my Canon R6 until I realised that this needed to be changed to Mic output, which has a -24 dB output. This allows the audio controls to be set into the normal range. I tested the audio output, ensuring that the volume peaked below 0 dB and was set to around 75% maximum and started recording. I was very pleased to find that with a minimum of effort, I was able to achieve top quality audio to accompany the image quality from my Canon R6. I used both microphones for stereo sound. However, it is also possible to merge the sound from both channels into a monaural sound. The kit comes with a Quick Start kit which gives just about information to get going but does omit some essentials such as configuration of audio settings which is essential. A full guide is available on the Shure website. The kit is stored in a handy soft roll that has pockets for the individual cables, charging case and receiver. This fits perfectly into my LowePro Protactic 450 AW Backpack and is far more convenient than a hard shell case.

Shure MoveMic — a stylish and convenient set with decent sound and a few unique features.
Amazon probably won’t be inviting me to Vine after this review, but I still want to share my honest impressions of this product. First, the positives: This is a well-crafted wireless system with an original design. The receiver, in particular, stands out — it attaches securely to the camera and can tilt forward or backward, which is a nice touch. It feels solid, thanks to the metal mounting foot. A more neutral body color might’ve looked a bit better, but that’s just personal preference. The case holds two microphones and looks nice overall, though I’d love a slightly higher-quality plastic for the price. Opening it isn’t very intuitive — you often have to fumble a bit to figure out how to unlatch it. A small thing, but noticeable over time. The microphones themselves are extremely lightweight, which is great for not tugging on clothing. They also allow for discreet placement under clothes, which really helps keep a clean on-camera look. However, the materials feel a touch less premium than expected. Now, about the sound: This part left me with mixed feelings. Strangely, recordings made directly to an iPhone sounded a bit better than recordings routed through the receiver into a camera. I tried different cables and ran several tests — both indoors and outdoors — but the results weren’t quite what I hoped for. That said, sound is very subjective. To my ear, other systems — even more affordable ones — offer clearer results out of the box. For example, the Sennheiser Profile Wireless or even the DJI Mic produced more polished sound in my tests. In summary: This is a solid system with thoughtful design, especially for Shure fans or those who like to fine-tune their setup for best results. If that sounds like you — go for it. Just be aware there are strong alternatives at this price point.

Good once up and running
Overall the sound quality is great from these and the size is perfect, never mind the weight being super light! The actual build feels cheap, and the one of the microphones keeps disconnecting / having trouble connecting time to time, so not super easy to use. Value for money I would say a 4/10, expensive for what it is and what you get, even functionality wise.

Is this the mic you have been waiting for?
I have had great experience with SHURE mics in the past and so had high expectations... I have the RODE wireless go 2, and have found these to have excellent sound quality, but they are big, and unless you connect a cavalier mic look terrible in video use. They also do not come in a charging case. (Sigh) Right, onto the SHURE Movemic two receiver kit They are tiny, and they are very light. Even when the windshield is applied they are small. They come in a typical SHURE roll out wallet with all the expected cable and connectors that are required for iPhones or cameras. The set up process is spot on. It is fast and effortless. The bluetooth just works. Here is the first and only slight issue, they work perfectly close to the receiver, but do not have the same distance range as the RODE. That said 95% of my work is close range. The sound is exactly what you expect of SHURE, and is very crisp and of a superb quality. Another really good feature, is IPX4, It often rains during interviews and filming I am carrying out, and so knowing these are resistant to water is reassuring. There are colour LEDs on the mics, to display status The receiver unit can clip onto a camera using the cold shoe, if a phone tripod has a cold shoot the receiver can be held in place with this. The battery life is nothing short of magical. They can cope with a day or a weekends work. SHURE claim 24 hours! These are practical They come in a charging case There are no extra cabled to buy! Everything you need is in the tech roll. There is a tech roll to hold all cables etc They are discreet in use The battery life is, well, awesome They are IPX4 waterproof rated These come highly recommended. Very, very highly rated. (They are awesome) for working close to the receiver...

Needs a few tweaks in an update, but overall a good product.
The Shure MoveMic Two Kit - Pro Wireless Lavalier Microphones with Camera Receiver for DSLRs, iPhone, Android, Mac and PC, 2 Bluetooth Mini Mics, 24 Hours Charge, IPX4, Portable Clip Lavs (MV-TWO-KIT-Z6) came fantastically packaged and well presented. It really felt like something special when I opened the box. In the box u get 2 x microphones. 1 x charging case. 1 x receiver. 2 x clip-on microphone pop filters. 2 x USB cables. 1 x audio cable. 1 x Quick start guide. 1 x User manual. First impressions were fantastic when I unboxed this kit! The build quality is second to none and is on par with other premium brands. I loved how easy this product was to set up and pair with the app on your phone. Just download the Motiv audio and motiv video app, hold down the power button on the microphone so it goes into pairing mode. Open the app, press the plus button within the app to add the device and it will be paired. Within the app, we can adjust various settings, such as the decibel level of the microphone, compressor settings, HPF settings, and noise cancellation toggle on or off. We can also change the settings on the receiver itself rather than using the app which is great! Whilst we are recording, we cannot change any of these settings. Even if we press pause and go back to the settings, it will not let you adjust the settings whilst recording. I think this needs to be fixed in an update because it will be handy if you can. So you'll need to set all these first before you record. I uploaded a sample of the audio quality of these microphones which I've uploaded to this review, so I hope it helps others. Overall, I was impressed with the audio quality myself, and how seamless it was to set up and use. Having the ability to record two audio feeds at once, such as podcasts, has been a godsend. In the listing it states that you cannot use more than two microphones at one time. I would like it if sure could update this in a software update so you could use at least four devices simultaneously. I haven't been able to connect the receiver to my PC yet so I will update this review should I have any troubles later on down the line. But using these microphones and the receiver to my phone has been fantastic! I found recording audio straight from the micophones into the app sounded a lot nicer without the receiver.. I found when using the receiver there was a loss of audio quality and loss of volume when all the settings remained the same which is a shame and needs ro be adressed. I'm unsure why this is maybe there needs to be an update but using the receiver there was a massive loss in audio quality as you will hear from my video. Apart from that, I've had no issues whatsoever and Ive been thrilled with this product's audio performance especially shooting directly to the phone. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I hope my review was helpful. 🙂

Excellent wireless Lavalier microphones but expensive
Excellent wireless Lavalier microphones but expensive What's in the box 1 x 2 x Shure MoveMic Wireless Lavalier microphones with charging case 1 x Shure MoveMic Receiver 2 x Shure MoveMic foam microphone muffs 2 x USB Type-C to Type-C cables 1 x TRS Jack to TRS Jack 1 x Warranty booklet 1 x Quick Start Guild booklet 1 x Roll up Microphone/Receiver/cable case Build quality The build quality on the Shure MoveMic Two Kit was almost at premium quality but was let down by the wobbly lid of the charging case Material quality The materials used on the charging case were plastic and weren't the best, with what felt like cheap scratchy plastics that were used, which were possibly painted as the surface felt somewhat rough if you used a microfiber cloth on it to clean it The materials that were used on the receiver were again plastic but were made from a much better quality and felt a lot closer to the premium level that it should have been. The materials used on the Microphones were again plastic and thankfully were of good quality plastic. Range Test The range of the Microphones to the Shure MoveMic Transmitter was incredible and reached a distance of 90 feet whilst facing away from the transmitter, and in all honesty, this was the best that I've encountered and experienced with any wireless microphone to date My experience was the same on my range test whilst using just Bluetooth (without the Shure MoveMic transmitter), and again with myself facing away from the mobile phone Bluetooth Sound reproduction This is the reason why the Shure MoveMic Two Kit costs almost twice as much as the rest, and the sound reproduction quality is the very best that I've heard, especially since the setting was kept to the factory out-of-the-box settings with just the decibels being changed from +25db to +15db on this test You have such a large range of settings to choose from, to adjust and fine-tune the quality to how you like it exactly. Within the setting you have Gain/Mute Mode - Flat/Speech/Singing Noise Reduction- On/Off High Pass - Off/75Hz/150Hz Compressor - Off/Light/Med/Heavy Graphic Equaliser Manual Setting to name just a few of the abundance of settings to choose from. Battery life - Microphones The battery life that you get from these very tiny microphones is phenomenal, with close to 9 hrs on one full charge with the one microphone that I used on my test to do this review with Battery life - Receiver The battery life on the Receiver however was slightly worse with just a few minutes shy of hitting the 8-hour mark from a full charge. Battery life - Charging Case You get approximately 2 extra charges from the battery case (for both microphones) once both the microphones and case have been charged up fully together, and on my test, I could have easily squeezed possibly another half-to-full charge on just the one single microphone extra out of the charging case. Microphones weight The microphone's weight is so minimal that you don't have to worry about them pulling your T-shirt down, and in all honesty, there had been times that I'd forgotten that I had the microphone still attached to me. The roll-up case The Roll-up case that is provided is perfect, and once everything has been rolled up, you can easily slip it all into a medium to large-sized coat pocket. Microphone wind muffs These are so easy to put on and remove, but the clips are more than strong enough for them not to come off randomly!! The downsides!! Firstly the charging case quality really could have been a lot better, especially at this price !! Secondly, No onboard SD recording storage, to back up your recording, if you lose signal - this should come as standard on microphones in this price category!! And Thirdly, if you didn't want to use the clip, there was No magnet to hold the microphones on with, if you wanted to have the microphones lower on your T-shirt My final thoughts !!! If you are after the best sound in quality that money can buy, then look no further, these have been tested against a few of the very best that are on the market today (since I'm a YT Tech reviewer and advisor) and even though the other top branded microphones are extremely good, these come out trumps, giving you the most premium quality sound quality reproduction that you'd ever going to get. I'm saddened with the material quality of the charging case though especially since these are high-end and high-cost microphones, and with the cost of these, I would have expected onboard SD recording storage, to have been available also. Do I recommend the Shure MoveMic Two Kit ?? It's impossible not to recommend such amazing little microphones that can produce such amazing professional high-quality in sound reproduction ... These are simply the Rolls-Royce of all wireless Lavalier microphones that are available on the market today. 4 out of 5 stars from myself with one star being lost due to the low-quality finish/quality of its charging case (otherwise it would have been a clear 5/5 stars with ease)

No post-processing necessary anymore
Before buying this mic I had a good one, but it was still necessary to do some editing to improve the audio quality. But with the Shure MoveMic I don't need any post-processing anymore - I publish my YouTube videos the way they are recorded with my Canon EOS 90D. The audio quality is superb, and this saves me a lot of time. Before this mic I had to use audio plugins to do some basic editing in my DAW (Reaper and Studio One), but now I really don't need that. I should also mention that the battery life is great and the bluetooth connection works pretty fine when I use it with my iPhone. I have also used the Shure MoveMic to do interviews on my YouTube channel and it worked out pretty fine.
