This book is, quite literally, on the anatomical side. You get detailed descriptions and diagrams of all of the different BONES and MUSCLES of the body, which made me realize that this book was a bit too advanced for what I was looking for. (I realized my problem was with proportions, not learning how to draw the shapes of the body themselves.) The book briefly touches on proportions and doesn’t really expand on it enough for my taste, but this is an ANATOMY book not really a “proportions” book, so I won’t dock any stars just because this isn’t what I exactly needed. Overall, this is very well made and probably helpful for more advanced artists. Even though this book isn’t what I was looking for, there are loads of beautiful drawings of the human body filling every page that I like to look at for inspiration, and who knows, maybe this book will help me more in the future.
