I was planning on using this for task lighting in my garage/workshop, but it's not a standard light bulb base... I didn't read the description very well. It took me a while to find the appropriate light socket at the hardware store, but I now have it rigged up like a trouble light on an extension cord and can move it around as needed. It has a little fan that kicks on when the light is on... I'm assuming for internal cooling of the LEDs. This sucker is BRIGHT! I'm pleased with it overall, but I wish I had read the description better lol

The media could not be loaded.  I had a lonely lightbulb socket in my garage over my washer and dryer. The area is too large for a single normal bulb, and I wanted a brighter light. This street lamp style light seem to fit the bill. It just needed an adapter from e26 to e39 socket which cost about five or six dollars. It is very bright but also very loud! This is something that I was not expecting as every other LED light fixture that I’ve used (including some very bright and hot grow lights) have never had a cooling fan so loud. I suppose that’s not an issue if you are using it for its intended purpose as an outdoor lamp. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with it, though. I shouldn’t blame the product if I am not using it for its intended use case scenario. 4/5 stars.

This is perfect for the garage and our outdoor patio. It is heavy, heavy. It works well, but we did have issues with it turning itself off originally, but it seems to have fixed itself. So many times, these issues turn out to be user error anyway. I am burying the lead - this thing is bright and does create some warmth as well. You have a couple of settings for brightness, but it is bright.

I put this between 2 of my work benches due to the fact that this bulb can be rotated in the base to direct the light to a more specific location. Very bright! Pretty heavy too, so if you are going to mount it on a ceiling, you might want to use the hook on the end of the bulb to have a safety wire in case it would try to fall. This is made for parking lots, warehouses, garages, etc., not for living room lamps. The cooling fan is pretty audible consequently. You'll need an adapter to put it in a standard base. Works fine for my purposes.

I bought this thing thinking it was much much smaller than it really was. In reality, it's bigger than a normal adults hand. The e39 end required an adapter to connect to a standard lamp socket.I turned this thing on and the first thing I heard was a small cooling fan kick on... And then I saw the sun! Holy crap is it bright!!! I quickly had 2 ticked off coworkers (I didn't mention that I did this at work). I'm pretty sure they're going to write a new policy about this because of me. I have no idea if all of the LEDs worked because you can't even look at this thing when it's on. It's so gosh darn bright!The package came in was quite nice. Lots of foam and I feel like the light was very well protected. The light itself has an extra piece of metal on it to attach to a safety strap so this thing can't accidentally fall from height and injure someone. It also has a selector switch so that you can control the amount of power going to the LEDs.Unfortunately, my wife won't let me keep it. She says that it's ridiculous and impractical which means it's pretty freaking awesome!!
