Reliable CO2 Sensor Review, using NDIR
The media could not be loaded. In a market flooded with fake CO2 sensors, it's crucial to ensure that the device you're purchasing is genuine. Otherwise, monitoring CO2 levels becomes rather pointless. In the test shown in my video, you'll see that the sensor on the Brandson monitor on the left aligns closely with the accurate, albeit much more expensive, sensor on the right.Additionally, it remains unaffected by nail polish remover, which causes CO2 readings to spike in fake sensors.Through comprehensive testing, the Brandson sensor proved accurate readings when compared with two other NDIR CO2 monitors. This gives me confidence that it uses an NDIR (nondispersive infrared) sensor, which is known as the most precise method for monitoring CO2. In fact, I think you can see the sensor through the grill. The display is clear and vibrant, with adjustable brightness. It features an alert to indicate when windows should be opened and updates quickly. The device operates on a battery for a decent period, although don’t expect to take the device off of the charge for any significant length of time.My only complaint is that it uses a USB-A to DC cable for power instead of USB-C, though a DC cable is provided. While it does monitor temperature and humidity, it lacks Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity, which is expected at this price point and not a deal breaker.

I wouldn't trust it
Straight out the box was showing over 3000PPM. Dropped to 1200+ after about 45 mins. Next to a device I know works correctly and shows all clear.

It appears to work well.
This appears to work well. I found calibration a bit fiddly and is possible at the low end of the scale, but not at the high end. But this is not important because the Monitor is not sold as a scientific instrument. If you need accuracy then you must spend a lot more.CO2 is rated in "parts per million" (parts per 10,000 percent). In fresh air this is about 400 ppm anywhere in the world, which is used to calibrate the low end of the scale. Apparently it used to be around 200 ppm before the industrial revolution (1800 AD). Concern for health might start at around 1000 ppm and gets progressively worse. CO2 is 1.5 times the density of air and apparently forms a layer at floor level. But I don't doubt that it gets stirred-up and mixed with air as people move around a room.

Easy and simple like a 2020ish smart meter
Just what I am interested and needed, handy few buttons and small sized. USB charged battery is the must have. While I don't bother to read desc when ordering, I found them good information while playing around once received.I am in a newer built so good insulated but feels breathless time to time. Meter show rooms ranging from 1200-2200 (outdoor is 400, shall vent hitting 1500). Once windows opened for a min or two reading drop from 2200 to 700, temperature drop just 1 degree. Great little device, CO2 meter is highly recommended./ps package and manual is nice, eco and simple, feel like German designed and China made in proper quality.
