I got these to possibly do some simple embroidery on. It's more of a gauze material and it's very lightweight but they're nice. I'm not sure how they'd hold up to embroidery but they'll be good in the general rotation of cloth napkins at my house. I got the terra cotta and they're a nice burnt sienna/dark orange color. Darker than I'd imagine terra cotta but I'm happy with them.They come with a mesh bag to wash delicates in so the seller seems to agree they aren't really hard wearing. Still, I got 10 for $21.90 which is easier than making them myself.

The napkins are just as gauzy and crinkly as I hoped! The color (terracotta) remained bright after washing in warm water, and after drying on a short cycle, there was some shrinkage but the size (now just under 15 inches) is still large enough, even with my big plates. No ironing, to keep the crinkles, I just smoothed them a little with my hand as I folded them. They were delivered quickly in a secure plastic wrap inside a cardboard box. No discernible odor, unusual in textiles these days. The napkins will be fun for a casual dinner or even a picnic - can't wait to use them!

This is the first time I am using cotton napkins. It has always been mixed materials before, usually polyesterish. But, I am glad that I came across these cotton napkins. These thick gauze cloth napkins are soft and absorbent. They have a simple but elegant design and give an unique touch to the dining table. Absolutely love them. Also, they came with a laundry bag. I have not done laundry yet, but hopefully, they will be fine after washing too (machine wash in cold water) Great napkins!

These are perfect for a more casual dinner party; nice and soft, thin but not too thin and easy to shape. I love that it's 100% cotton, and the color I got is absolutely gorgeous. It looks incredible in contrast with green or navy, and I can imagine these looking great with golden utensils.
