This product works well. I clipped it to the inside seam of a big floppy sun hat. It kept the hat in place and adjusts smoothly. Seems well-made.

1/ Spent about 1 hour on Amazon reading reviews trying to buy adjustable hat strap(s) to prevent my various 'flip' up brim, turned up front brim trucker/baseball type hats/caps from blowing off my head when high 25 mph+ wind and/45-75 mph gusts are present. 2/ As I looked at the different Amazon ad pages showing hat straps I carefully read the 1 and 2 star reviews. IF customer complaints seemed a legit concern, I kept looking on Amazon til I found this item, read the positive reviews while finding no real concerning 1 or 2 star reviews, period. 3/ The designers of this item got everything right! I mean, this item does exactly what it's supposed to do; these adjustable hat straps prevent my caps from blowing off my head in super high mph winds and gusts. So it's extremely high quality. 4/A few great features here; the adjustable chin strap is not a rough string or cord, rather it's a comfortable flat thin width piece of nylon type material. To adjust to secure chin strap, just press/pinch inward on the slide bead with your fingers, then slide the bead upwards to secure it well and tight, or downwards to make the strap less secure, then release your finger pinch to lock the chin strap in place where ever; keep strap max tight and secure for outdoor high winds/gusts, protection, or. loosen when you are indoors, like in a supermarket, ect. In my opinion, reviewers complaining that THIS item didn't work to keep their hats/caps secure on their heads in high winds. did NOT know how to properly install /position the 2 clips to the inner sweat band of their cap or hat.. IMO, the SECRET is to spend 5 minutes when 1st receiving delivery, attaching the 2 clips to different locations on the inner sweat band of your baseball cap, trucker cap, or to sweatband of most any hat, ect. No sweat band? Message seller before buying. BTW, I tried not following seller's directions by attempting to attach the pair of clips not to inner sweatband but to the outside outer edges of my caps. This did NOT work; the clips would not hold in place or attach at all,,,,,. Cap/hat material is usually too thick for these clips. Suggest you attach the clips to thin sweatbands of caps, hats only. After you attach clips to your caps/hats in the max function sweet spots, do not mess with removing/reinstalling them unless you must; like when you need to hand wash, dry your hats/caps. I don't machine wash my hats/caps; rarely even hand wash/dry them. If you remove clips then reinstall them too often, I'd bet they'll soon break! Anyway, you must experiment by placing the clips in differing spots on the sweat bands, after each positioning, test for achieving max positive function,,,,, you must move upwards the sliding bead to max tight with hat on your head. Find the SWEET SPOT where you tighten to max secure, and then try to flip/pull the hat off head with your hand(s); if your hat doesn't budge; hey man you did it! This means in 40-50 mph+ wind gusts your hat or cap likely ain't go'in no where! bud! 5/ I believe you receive 5 sets; or, 2 straps/2 clips per each set. Use 1 set/2 straps, 2 clips to secure 1 cap/hat. So if you have up to 5 hats/caps you need to secure. you'll be good. 6/ One more opinion; I have NOT needed to try this but suppose you tried positioning the 2 clips on a hat or cap's sweatband as I explained, but you just could not secure your hat to your liking! Ok why not use 4 clips, and 2 straps, so in effect you're doubling everything using 4 clips and 2 straps; you might at least try this, right! 7/When I buy on Amazon, I look at/near the right mid column on any Amazon ad page. Look for the words; "ships by Amazon". IMO, it's important and good if Amazon states this. Even better is when Amazon states on any ad page; "sold & ships by Amazon". Lot of reasons this is always a plus,,,,,,8/BUY! BUY! BUY!

These work great on any hat because of the sturdy clips. And can also be used to clip a cap to a shirt so it can’t blow away. I always pack a few of these while traveling. I can use them to keep a rolled up towel together or to make sure that small items don’t escape a bag. And of course, to keep my hat from blowing away. I particularly like that I can attach the clips to the back of my hat so that the strings don’t rub against my face on the sides or pull the sides of the hat down. The sliding toggle tightener works really well and slides smoothly. Nice that these come in a multi pack because your friends are going to steal them.

Love it. Came in handy during travels. Not all my hats have cords and this was useful when out and about and there is a slight wind. Its a little 'thick' as far as visibility is concerned but keeps the hat on. I think it was a little pricey for what it was but it did help. It was also easy to adjust and move from 1 hat to the other. The quality seems to be pretty good. Not flimsy.

These have great clips at the end to clip to any hat to create a drawstring. It stays on my hat, is very secure, and the drawstring is very thick. The length is great too! I have the peace of my mind now that my hat isn't going to fly away in the wind. I absolutely love traveling with these and the 5 pack is a great value!

I live in Kailua, Hawai'i where kitesurfers roam the ocean bay and wind is very prevalent. These keep my hats on and are a comfortable design. Mahalo nui loa!

Yesterday, I recivied the package of chin straps. I got the straps for few sun hats and put them on those hats. I felt satisfied with straps to hold my hats in place when wind hits on me. Yes, I did do with Sunday Afternoon guide flapped caps and I feel comfortable without being knocked out by wind. It means I don't need to order any hat with its own strap.

Use for water sports to keep hat/caps from blowing away in the wind. Very effective
