Grabbed this hub to go with my laptop as I'm often short of ports thanks to all the silly dongles we need for this that and the other. This hub seems to be doing the trick just perfectly. Runs standalone without the power adapter for lower powered devices such as thumbdrives, keyboards and mice. Power adapter is great for when I need more power on the hub for portable HDDs and higher power devices as I often do. Shows up to the computer as a standard USB 3.2 hub, as can be seen in the screenshots. Getting the full promised USB 3 speeds to any device on the hub (again, see screenshot of a speedtest I ran over this hub to a thumbdrive). USB cable seems very durable and the power adapter is a generic 15w 5v 3a center positive DC barrel jack adapter so easy to replace if I break it or lose it. Lovely jubbly.

Works well

I picked the VEMONT 4-Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub to expand my Raspberry Pi 4’s USB capabilities, and it’s been a solid addition. Setup was quick and easy—just plug and play, and it worked seamlessly with my Pi right out of the box. The extra power from the hub’s adapter is a big plus. My Raspberry Pi 4 now easily handles multiple peripherals (keyboard, mouse, external hard drive, and a flash drive) without any connectivity issues or power dropouts. The transfer speeds are impressive too; data moves fast, which is especially helpful when accessing large files from the external drive. One small drawback is that the hub's build quality feels a bit on the lighter side. It hasn’t caused any issues so far, but a more solid construction would have given it a sturdier feel. Also, it doesn’t have individual on/off switches for each port, which would have been a nice touch for managing connected devices. Overall, this USB hub performs reliably with the Raspberry Pi 4, providing stable connections and good transfer speeds. For the price, it’s an effective solution that I’d recommend to anyone needing extra USB ports with powered support.

Good value and well made

So many devices come with USB connections now, that I never seem to have enough, so this handy device is just what I needed. I was pleased to see that we have the option of a mains connection or a single USB, meaning I don't need to connect it to my PC or laptop to use. It seems to be made from a slightly rubberised plastic, is lightweight, but feel solid enough, and has a hook at the top to hang it, if desired. Once plugged in I can chose to have one, two, or all four USB points live, just by pressing the buttons at the side of the each USB; and the connection, most importantly is super fast as I expected, no slow down through using the adapter. The connection, transfer speed remains steady throughout the day, no drops; so needless to say I am really pleased with this little unit, which I thought was a very good price.

This thing is not going to win awards for quality control. The buttons that switch the usb ports on/off often get stuck (but are easy to free), and it's so light it needs to have velcro to keep it flat. The LEDs not only warn local shipping of your location, but they bleed into the whole unit. That being said, it works as it should, and that was my main concern.
