Water Temperature Gauge

This is actually a really decent coolant gauge. The only complaint I have is it beeps when first powering on. I’m actually liking this gauge way more than a regular gauge with a needle since at a quick glance you see the actual temp. You don’t wire it up like a normal gauge so don’t connect it your dash lights. It connects to key on power and isn’t dimmable but that’s not a problem because it’s not excessively bright at night. I got the red numbers and it is clearly visible during the day. You will need to get an adapter if you don’t have a 1/8” npt port on your vehicle. My truck had a 1/2” npt port.

Used this for temporary measures until I install a Dakota digital dash in my 1986 Chevy c10 LS swap. Great quality and great price. Works well, compared it another temp sensor and it was with in 10 degrees of the stock coolant sending unit. Easy to install!

I was a bit skeptical ordering this kit as it seemed too good to be true, but I went all in on it. I installed this kit on my 06 Scion xA since it did not have a temp gauge on the dash. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly. THE GOOD - Great price compared to other options that only include the sensor and gauge. - Quality of materials seems above average. The plastic housing for the gauge doesn't have any ugly molding marks, and the base of it is made out of metal. - Surprisingly, the sensor is very, VERY accurate. I compared it to the OBDII readings, and they are within +- 2 degrees F. It even reads temperatures below 100F, which some comparable sensors do not show. - Adequate wiring length, at least with my car, and it was relatively simple to install. - LED lights on the gauge are very bright, and I do appreciate the digital numbers rather than reading from a needle. Makes it very easy to read while driving. - The included alarm is a prime feature that other similarly priced gauges do not include. The alarm speaker is very loud, so you will not miss when your car is overheating. THE BAD - At a very low price, I am having doubts on how long the sensor and the gauge will last. Will have to see in the future. This will no doubt introduce another point of failure in your car's cooling system. - The adhesives included do not work at all. It's not the only product that I have bought from Amazon that included cheap adhesives, so it was expected. I would recommend getting some emblem adhesive tape if you don't want to drill holes in your dash. THE UGLY - The mounting mechanism for the gauge is not intuitive at all. There are no instructions on how to properly mount the gauge with the provided holder. The gauge comes with a metal bracket that is screwed on, but trying to place the gauge into the mount prevents it from entering. Removing this bracket will make the gauge loose in the mount. I made a temporary fix and just applied the included adhesives onto the inner sides of the gauge, and it was enough to hold it in place. Note to seller, please improve or include clear instructions for mounting, one star was removed because of this issue. Overall, I do recommend getting this for your car if it doesn't have a temperature gauge, and you don't want to spend a pretty penny on frankly overpriced gauges. This one works great, but only time will tell about its durability.

This product did not work straight out of the box. Not to mention the only papaerwork it came with had bad instructions on it for diffrent guages. If you look at the item on Amazon in the pictures it shows wiring instructions which refers to a blue and white wire and when you get the priduct its a red and black. Granted i am a mechanic so its not hard to figure out on your own as far a wires go. But the bottom line is the guage doesnt work out of the box. Only reason for 1 star is that it came with the tap for a radiator hose so no drilling and tapping another hole is required. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FIND A DIFFRENT GUAGE. It feels cheap and unreliable and it is.

So cool! I love digital gauges! My 1996 Dodge 3/4 ton pickup's electrical temp gauge died. Hard to find original gauges for a 30 year old truck. I did have to buy an adapter to tap into the upper radiator hose to reach the coolant but that was easy peasy. I love the eye candy that there is a circular indicator that climbs as the coolant heats up too. Works great, reasonably priced, fast shipping! Hello recommended!

works well within the range closer to normal operating temps but is off by s frw degrees sometimes. see photos, reads too hot when compared to odbc. photos show 6 degrees difference on the hot side. better than 6 degrees too cool i guess. i tapped into radiator hose between motor and top radiator inlet. housing is plastic, base is metal. would have preferred all metal. might 3d print something to make is a but more custom.. dial mounts onto housing with 2 way stick tape. i’m not s fan if that. dial is shallow which allows for mounting in shallow areas, hence the 3d printing option.

It’s good close on temp however I don’t know how long it will last

Very accurate and precise and very easy to setup. I used mine in a pod. The sensor has a built in ground and the supplied connector makes it a snap to hook up. I fed my wires taped to a very long screw driver thru the mainwire harness rubber gasket that goes into the cabin. The gasket being rubber is self healing. Other than that I used a black coupler, some compound to seal the sensor and i cut the hose straight. Then I used some of those precision clamps that just launched the market and made it look like a piece from the industrial revolution. I already had a voltage regulator to supply and isolate the pods and gauges from chassis electrical noise so I always get consistent readings but I went with a buck converter.

Muy buen producto, facil instalación. La medición me pareció exacta ya que en el vehículo que lo instale le accionamos los abanicos en 181 grados farenheit (83°C) y verificamos que midiera exactamente. Lo recomiendo bastante
