GPS for motorcycle
Works great but it’s a pain to download gpx files and also to share routes with older units. Does not work with basecamp. You must use Tread. Garmin needs to make this process easier

Amazing GPS. A little pricey but dollar well spent. Great sight picture. Looks good on my Wing.

Zumo XT won’t work if not connected to power source.
I received my Zumo xt2. No user manual or initial quick start guide. This is shows poor understanding of customer experience. I lost an entire night booting, factory resetting. Nothing worked as I thought the device is charged and I can start setting it up. Garmin is a storied company, but no one in the company thought to mention to the customer that to configure it, needs to be powered all the time to a wall outlet or a computer. And I had to talk to someone in the customer service next day to realize this. And on top of it the device will not charge unless it’s on not in sleep mode on the wall power. On the bike it needs to be on as well to charge. Beyond this the product works I haven’t put it through its paces. More to follow.

Typical Garmin problems
As recommended, I tried to use my XT2 as a hub to play music from Pandora on my phone to my Cardo unit. It works sometimes, but not always. If you want music, you need to disconnect the XT2 and do a direct connection from my Iphone to my Cardo. All good except now you don't have your routes from the Tread app. I've been using Garmin for motorcycle touring for many years and had my share of frustration. I just wish garmin spent the time to get things working prior to putting them on the market. On the bright side, the display is nice and the hardware seems pretty good, but that doesn't help if it doesn't work.
