Great stuff.
Great stuff........covers well and the best part is that it dries quickly. Worked well on the battery tray in my escalade and on the cast brake rotors to stop the rust. Unless the rust is flaking you dont need to remove it...covers and seals surface rust perfectly....no more rust. UPDATE.....still think its a good product but the can and lid are terrible. Once its used and can resealed it dries so hard that you ruin the can opening it. I poured it into a heavy duty paint can but it did the same thing after use and reseal, runined the can and lid trying to open it. Needs to be in a plastic container with a resealable lid or something.

still a great product! (plus a solution for longterm storage)
I live close to the ocean in San Francisco and even galvanized steel will eventually rust. If I'm doing work myself, I'll go out of my way to use a non-ferrous metal (fasteners, etc.) but rust is inevitable in a climate like this, not only on the house but the car too. After trying numerous rust inhibitor products, Rust Bullet wins, hands down. It's not a miracle solution every time, but it works for me almost every time. I follow the instructions and will normally go out of my way to apply 6-8 coats. I've found that more coats (versus the 3 coat minimum) tends to offer better results. I've also finally found a solution for storing Rust Bullet for months between uses without the can sealing shut (then destroying it in an attempt to pry the lid off). I clean the rim of the can really well with Rust Bullet Solvent, even leaving a little puddled in the can's rim, then use a sheet of plastic wrap, as well as Bloxygen if there's a lot of air space in the can. I opened a can after at least 3-4 months of storage and it opened with ease and the Rust Bullet wasn't skinned over at all.

Good stuff.
I do not have any long term results but I like the application and it seems to adhere well and dry to.a tough finish. A lille bit goes a long way.

Easy to use, works great
Before tackling some more significant projects, I tested this product on a small drain cover/strainer that I use in my sink to catch food debris, and that was developing unsightly rust. It was easy to spray on and covered the rust in one coat (though I added a second for good measure). As others have noted, make sure to carefully read all instructions before beginning. Also, I don't usually purchase products that charge shipping because I'm used to fast prime shipping; however, the item arrived in 2 days and was worth the added shipping cost.

Worth the money, but beware...
This stuff is definitely worth the money, but take heed! Read the instructions carefully and follow them to the T! This stuff does not come off of anything once it cures. Brake clean with take it off before it cures, but after that...well...nothing short of a grinder will take it off. As far as rust prevention, like I said, follow the instructions. Only buy what you can use in 72 hours. After this stuff hits oxygen, it starts to cure pretty quick. If you open it, then put the lid back on, YOU WILL DESTROY THE CAN! No question about it!! Notice I say cure instead of dry. This goes on like paint, but cures like a epoxy, yet it is not an epoxy. Strange. If you buy it and use it, you'll get it. Not thick coats. Multiple thin coats are better with this stuff. Don't shake it. Stir it well.

Thick one coat coverage
We have outdoor gas tanks. We tested this on a small portion of one of the tanks (after reading the directions) and it appears to be good quality when applied. Time will tell if it lasts.
